We have to stop this ball before it gets rolling, just look at whats happening in France and England with this shit!

Between this issue and the Mexican border, its only a matter of time before we HAVE to execute our right to the second amendment!

Well, I downloaded this thing. Took about 1/2 hour and I can't replay the thing so I had to listen to it in jerky bits. I don't know how to replay this stuff without going through it again. Not worth it.

Similar to several other stories. Nicely retold of course.... Not to worry, Minnesotans and New Yorkers ain't got no patience fer it. I first heard of this about NY cabbies.

It's the Detroit area that has the biggest Islam population here, I believe. That would be a good test area.

On that, I lived in Utica, NY for 4 years and there are a lot of Syrians there. They assimilated nicely and they have several big farms up there.  They took a beating after 9-11 and hung up all kinds of patriotic stuff trying to save their local business. Zogby of the Zogby Polls that you read of comes from Oneida Co. Arabs.

It's not going to be like a lot of Europe when it comes to Islamic culture. Here, you have to play by our rules or you get nowhere. A lot of the immigration zoo in D. C. revolves around this too.

These are classic examples of division and separatism that granting special accommodations to “Diversity” breeds within a nation.  The Constitution does not guarantee the right to seek preferential treatment/laws/restrictions to accommodate “Diversity”.  The Constitution simply guarantees that individuals will not be discriminated against because of “Diversity”.  Outside of common sense laws supporting human rights and guiding civil society, government and law are to be immune from influence by what the Founders believed to be historically troublesome and unrealistic influences of “Diversity” that suppress freedoms and force national division.                

But instead when anyone decides they disagree or disapprove of something they scream discrimination and infringement on their rights to protection from anything they deem offensive.  Congress scrambles to pass restrictive new laws to accommodate “Protection From” instead of “Freedom Of” diversity.  Then in the complete reverse immigrants entering the country freely demand that everyone abide by their specific cultural/religious beliefs and laws and receive special accommodations at public expense for their “Diversity”?

The founding principals of the nation have been grossly twisted and it has to stop now.  As I understand it, this was established as “One Nation” guided by laws and principals that accepted the inherent differences of “Diversity”.  Not as a “Divided Nation” guided by wide-scale accommodation of oppressive (I’m sorry) “Diverse” laws/beliefs of other nations, cultures, religions and all too common extreme political views that have become separatist influences.

It's our elected and re-elected representatives that are supporting this nonsense.  It's time elect represenatatives that live up to their oath to defend the Constitution and stop supporting those that flagrantly re-interpret the Constitution to suite their political agendas.

Take the politicians that encourage the double standard of forbiding Christams in schools, no public displays of the hollidays yet coddle to the pressure if the islamists...TAKE THERE ASS AND THROW THEM IN IRAN, PAKISTAN OR ANY OTHER "STAN" and see how they like living there.  Think they would live long enough to see the sun set?

I have to agree with Tom.  :o

Multi-culturalism is fine so long as you don't make me have to deal with it when I don't want it. Learning is fine though. I remember when in fourth grade we were assigned to find something to wear representing other cultures for an afternoon. It was sorta interesting but the point is that it was educational, not something we had to put up with 24/7.

If you want to howl at the moon in your church; fine but do it there. Don't ask be to get involved. Americans don't care so long as you don't give us a hard time for being what we are. The Constitution isn't something that needs a lot of help.

Are they here because of our involvement in Somalia recently?  Why do we have to bring home tens of thousands of refugees for every conflict we try to help bring to an end?   So when is the boat-load of Iraqis and Afganis showing up?

I actually spent time watching the "Current" cable channel the other day. It turns out that of Republicans, he has  the most Google hits by a huge margin. I suppose Mike Bloomberg will be up there soon too. He has a brain.

Hmmmmmmm.

It seems to me that xenophobia (both American and Islamic) might be more of a threat...

Fundamentalism, whether it is Islamic or American is what truly divides people; my instincts tell me that in a fast changing world it is better to positively engage WITH other cultures/religions etc. The rules and sentiments of yesterday no longer work today!!!

Bear in mind too that the American 'religion' of democracy is not necessarily welcomed in countries where Islamic laws have prevailed...

...and while the west and Islam wrestle over the right to rule the world, China is positioning itself to actually rule through economic domination...

Nor is the assumption that American law can be superseded by transplanted Muslims. There seem to be some who think that, because it is part of their religious belief system, it takes precedence over the law.

America is a society of laws. If transplants can't or don't want to understand that, we have these buildings here called prisons. I'm sure there are a few judges who wouldn't mind having them get acquainted with the inner workings of a prison for awhile.

Yep, the Fundamentalists. I think the media is doing an excellent job of whipping things up, of fanning the flames of fundamentalism on both sides. Its a pity that so many Islamics see ordinary Western folk as haters of their religion/culture - and that so many ordinary Western people see every Muslim as a threat.

I won't quibble with this. Peace is always the preferrable solution. But I am and will be prepared to defend myself. I'm not about to lose my family, my life, the stuff I've worked hard for to a religious fanatic. I think its also worth remembering that not all of Islam is fundamentalist;  The UAE is an example of a good balance of Islamic and secular law. Its paying big dividends with people of all religions welcomed to places like Dubai and Bahrain etc...

...and you should see the "Strictly Sha'aria" Saudis in London in the summer... Mayfair's streets become a racetrack for Aston Martins, Lamborghinis  and Ferraris - and its nightclubs and casinos do a roaring trade...

I'll never get why fundamentalists here and there like to make things miserable. Life is too friggin' short.

Christian fundamentalism has become exclusionary; which is 180 degrees from the tenets of Christian teaching with which I am familiar.

If you want to get into serious fundamentalism here; it's called the Ku Klux Klan. They like to blow up things and kill all those "other" people too.

Fundamentalism, be it religious or nationalistic, is the tree that grows from the seed of ignorance; the people who defend their 'faith' or 'nationalistic values' do so in a one dimensional manner, because they do not understand the bigger picture or, more sinisterly, they want to manipulate those who fail to understand.

They have freedom to worship as they please but cannot impose the  way of life they are running from here. When in Rome.............

Don't like our laws , well vote to change em, be an activist not a terrorist. That is how is works here. And the beautiful part about here is that we are free to leave unlike some other countries where their citizens are virtual prisoners.

Jonny, there are plenty of nutters out there.  This Dispatches Investigation has uncovered the nutters.  Unfortunately, the oxygen of publicity is given to the extremists because the do extreme (newsworthy) things; they are still a minority.

The more sinister thing is that the extremists are winning their battle to get Muslims all tarred with the same brush, and we, as non-muslims are falling for this simple ruse.

I'll feel better and return to being a real sweet bastard when I see the these people stop using Islam as something that it isn't. It's a kind of Islamism rather than Islam.

I want them to speak up about it too. They seem pretty quiet over here.

I guess I'm an intolerant old fart too.
