Title: Fresh start my a**(update!!) Post by taraann on Jun 18th, 2007, 4:13pm Sam started work just a few days after we got here... and they let him go today! Because he isn't familiar with their irrigation systems, they are completely different than NH. BUT they were supposed to give them a 2 week probationary period. We were going to move into our own place the first week of July.... damn is that shot out of the water now? WtF stay stressed huh? Thanks for hearing me vent! *here's the update* (I never know where to put an update ppl if it should be in the origional post or at the bottom of the thread?) Sam went job hunting and is already back to work today! It's something he's never done, my baby is a pool guy ;;D I'm so relieved that he found something so quickly. He'll be taking care of mostly commercial pools, but also some residential pools. I told him he better not be servicing anything other than those pools like the fabled pool boys on t.v. [smiley=laugh.gif] . Sam's a stone mason/ hardscape landscaper by trade. Wonder if he'll like it? The irrigation thing was atleast in the landscape field.... |

Title: Re: Fresh start my a** Post by DonnaHar on Jun 18th, 2007, 4:41pm Sorry to hear that. He was probably doing too good of a job for down here. All building codes are different .......not the quality of up north. I found that out when I first got here in 1984. We were using sheet metal for duct work in Cleveland........and just about cardboard down here.......sheesh! |

Title: Re: Fresh start my a** Post by taraann on Jun 18th, 2007, 8:05pm yeah it was his 3rd day! He was used to doing "hardscape" for residential neighborhoods, not commercial sized irrigation systems and he was very upfront with this company about that! Ah well maybe this was a blessing in disquise, cause this really wasn't his cup of tea, but just a paycheck. But we really really needed this paycheck of course! :-/ |
