Title: My First Attack ... Post by UN solved on Jun 18th, 2007, 12:22am ( My First Attack ) ... of this month came early this morning, waking me out of my sleep with that oh so familiar knife to the eye, twisting and turning, plunging in and out :'( An Imitrex jab quickly took effect and temporarly stopped the nightmare once again. I haven't had one all day long - but it's once again night time ... and I'm about to sleep in the beasts' playground. (It's where the dreams are). Praying that he'll have mercy on me tonight and let me get some much needed sleep ! The last histamine infusion helped for almost 3 weeks. I was hoping it would be alot longer. :-/ But 3 PF weeks is 3 weeks in wonderland !! Only one attack so far, maybe I'm jumping the gun. (I hope so) I'll guess I'll wait and see if the beast wants to play tonight. I DON'T TO PLAY ANYMORE !! I WISH HE'D LEAVE ME ALONE !! :'( :'( Ok ... rant complete ... go on about your business, there's nothing to see here !! UNsolved |

So glad you got those 3 weeks,......now, let last night be a renegade, and sleep sleep sleep well tonight. Fingers crossed, and eyes too! Cathi |

Title: Re: My First Attack ... Post by Ray on Jun 18th, 2007, 1:38am Michael: As a former chronic, now episodic, that first one in the bunch is unsettling in a familiar way. Ease up, release the stress in your body, do some deep breathing. Get really relaxed and hydrated. Keep your tools nearby, just in case, but do not let the beast have the satisfaction of knowing that you're anxious. Do we let the beast rule us, I SAY NO! Take this one moment at a time, one victory at a time. The beast comes like a thief in the night, the coward. He aims to steal, kill, and destroy. See him for what and who he is, a coward who's defeat is assured, and he will flee! Go rest easy brother [smiley=hug.gif] wishing you PF days and nights. Ray |

Title: Re: My First Attack ... Post by UN solved on Jun 18th, 2007, 11:17pm I had a tooth pulled the other day and I have stitches in my mouth. My jaw was hurtin' so I took a Loritab 10. I itched like hell for awhile, then fell asleep. I was later awaken with that monster HA. No more Loritabs and no more 'HA's either. Could that 1 Loritab 10 provoke the beast ? UNsolved |

Title: Re: My First Attack ... Post by Ray on Jun 18th, 2007, 11:28pm A quick look at the following site: http://www.drugs.com/pdr/lortab.html Did not indicate vasodialation as side-effect. However, there could be interactions with other meds. Personally, I think the beast felt amused that you actually took a narcotic pain killer and wished to show that he could smash through that like you might step through a spider's web. The beast is truly a ba$+ard! Sorry for your pain, and hope you are PF! Ray |

Unsolved When I had my first Histamine infusion(as you call it ) it lasted for about 8 years but I did get hit about 1 to 2 times a month about kip 4 or 5 being the highest but I consider that pain free.Hang in there bud maybe it was a lone hit and you will get back to your wonderland.Good luck.
