I had my blood results today and although I didn't get a gold star on my notes I DID get a smiley face! (Yes I DO bully my doctor - I bully everyone why should he be the exception?!)

My PTH has more than doubled and is over 800 which is not good (should be less than 70) but my liver function test, phosphate, albumin and something else I've forgotten were all "acceptable" (which means I'm not in any danger of going anywhere near the bloody in patient thingymajig for now LOL)

My calcium is holding its own, its not high enough but it hasn't fallen and my potassium has fallen very slightly but it's not cause for concern and the best bit is my magnesium has reached NORMAL!!!

For the forst time since January I'm actually dropping a med - I get two weeks without magnesium before more bloods to see how I'm doing - I'm really chuffed cos those are the most diabolical tablets on the face of theearth and you have to chew them and they stick to your teeth and they are just ugh nasty nasty nasty BAD things!   [smiley=laugh.gif]

I'm feeling very pleased with myself and I think I deserve lots of bottles of meursault (big fat hairy hint there Pee Wee in case you missed it!)
Actually on second thoughts - make that Bombay Sapphire, I've gone off wine!  ;;D

More good news on the board! Things are finally starting to look up huh. I can't wait to hug you in Richmond (if I can get down that low) stomach kinda tender you know.

Good news Helen!

Just FYI . . you can take regular baths with Epsom Salts (Magnesium sulfate) to boost your magnesium count.  

Magnesium is one of the few minerals readily and easily absorbed through the skin.  Taken orally it is a laxative, so I wouldn't recommend that way, but bathing with it helps your blood counts and soothes sore muscles!

You know what?

I have a new theory and in Helens world it holds ALOT of water!

I have been REALLY badly behaved this week - even by my standards which are phenomenally low as you all know..

I'm convinced that by letting out my inner badness I retain more inner goodness thus improving my health!

For instance so far this week I've almost been thrown out of the supermarket with my friend Michelle, we have jointly sexually harrassed builders on a worksite (oh and they don't like it when you turn the tables LMAO) I've had a water fight with the O2 delivery man and I've abused telesales people. Oh and umm.. there was a SMALL incident in a carpet shop today when Michelle was choosing a new carpet but it was really that poxy salesman's fault not mine! I'm inncocent and sweet as you all know... ( I know, I know.. Bollocks! )

I had terrific blood results this week considering how ill I was last week so imagine what a little more anarchy will result in for next week?!
