Title: Re: Cicadas Post by Ray on Jun 14th, 2007, 9:51am Hello Everyone: Here I thought we were going to have a "scholarly" discussion of the role of the hypothalmus and circadian rhythms, and instead we're talking about how to prepare big, noisy insects. Title: Re: Cicadas Post by Wayne on Jun 14th, 2007, 12:30pm Go figure, I thought we only got those things here in Africa. They are quite pretty as bugs go but their irritation value is huge, they very easily spoil a lovely peaceful African sunset. |

Title: Re: Cicadas Post by Linda_Howell on Jun 14th, 2007, 1:49pm Last August Jim and I went to Omaha, Ne. to visit relatives. When we went outside about sundown to have a glass of wine on their back deck, the noise was deafening. Not knowing what it was (thought it was power lines about to explode) I asked.... and was sorry for them and Cat who lives in Omaha too.. No Guiseppi, Calif. doesn't have thopse pesky noisemakers. We just have the fruit fly. ;;D |
