Sorry for not being here this last week or so. Do you know that regardless of checking in, I always think of y'all each and every day? Hell, I've got a couple of y'alls pics on my wall at work so I can
get a daily reminder to vibe ya with all I got whenever I can!

so............ my sweet Charlotte had a tumor on her side. It was checked out a year ago but because of her age, we decided to play wait and see.

Last week it became infected and when I got home from work, it was bleeding (sorry for the gross factor).

Took her back to the vet who immediately said it had to come off. Problem was, she is now a year older and at nearly 17 years old, we had a 50/50 chance of her making it thru the surgery.

If her bloodwork came back bad, we decided it would be time to let her go home.

It came back liver and kidneys well enough for her to handle the surgery. The next prob was her advanced age, whether she would be able to handle the anethesia.

The doc called at 4:15 pm today. The surgery went well, she was awake at that time, and she can come home tomorrow!

My Charlotte. She sure is a stubborn old bitch! But she made it thru!!!

Way to go Charlotte! She sounds like a pretty incredible lady to me!!

Sick pets are nearly as worrisome as sick kids, aren't they?

So sorry to hear that your doggy is having medical problems.

Do you have any idea who shot at it? Luckily Poochie was able to dodge them bullets.

Jen, so good to hear Charlotte made it through ok. Our pets are such a big part of our lives we will do whatever it takes to help them.

I don't think she is ready to give up yet. Way to go Char.
