Title: "First Love"-A reaction to "Howl"
Post by klusterkopf on Jun 3rd, 2007, 12:40pm
Since many people are submitting poems, I thought that I would send this one.  It is something that I wrote as an assignment in English class while we were studying your great poet the late Alan Ginsburg; we had to write a poem after reading his great poem "Howl".  It was actually several pages long and I have forgotten all but the first stanza, which I always thought was the best (and it was written after I had broken up with my first "true" love).  It is depressing and naeive, but I was only 19 at the time and it was in the 1970's. Thank you.

"The passion of first love is gone,
Never fulfilled,
Never to be re-obtained
All that is left is mutual masturbation,
One body rubbing against another
Searching for a biological release."

For the benefit of new people klusterkopf is our resident troll. He serves no purpose except to confuse, obfuscate and distress posters while providing a wealth of misinformation of his own.

The best response to him is no response. All we do is inform people as best we can that his posts are unsound.

That was a joke, a play on words, as in German the word for O2 is "Sauerstoff"-"Sauerkraut".  I also told you what medication that I am now taking I believe.  Perhaps your sense of humour is different than mine, though I did put a "smiley face" next to that remark about the Sauerkraut.  Your jonny appears to have a fixation with Trolls as he has used that to label more people than anyone else; perhaps he should cut back on his beer consumption and clear his head.  I am sure that someone else will be labeled as this "John the Troll" after awhile-maybe that is another identity that jonny uses?  Schade.

In the US military, if you were found to have chronic cluster headaches, you be either booted out or medically retired.  It wouldn't be good, in a combat situation, to have chronic CH.  If you had episodic and the doc knew anything about CH, you'd be referred to a  neurologist for an evaluation-but most don't know much about CH and, depending upon where you are, it might take so much time to get an appointment with a neuro that your episodic episode might be gone and you'd be sent back to duty (and if you had asked for anything stronger than aspirin for the pain during your attack, you'd  probably be labeled as a drug abuser).  I'd advise any servicemember with CH, chronic or episodic, to lay out the cash and see a civilian doc first.

If the Germans knew this much in WW2 they would have won....eh, John?....LOL

If my American history is correctly remembered, Bush won the election against Gore based on the, according to some people, somewhat questionable results of the votes in Florida (remeber Chaff?)-Gore chose not to contest it and Bush won, but it was a VERY close election.

Concerning the Electoral College, we were taught that the Electors (members) have the right to IGNORE the popular vote and give their state's electoral votes to whomever they want-fortunately, that has never happened.  It appears that the Founding Fathers put that in because they were mostly aristocrates and really did not trust the common people.  Am I correct?

My, what a shallow, fucked up sentiment.

Not sure how anyone knows that much about the US Military without first hand knowledge or being fed that line, but I can assure you that having been to Walter Reed Army medical center, that seeing a neurologist there, regardless where you are in the country, is not a process that takes months at a time, and they were the first ones to give me the diagnosis of clusters.

Additionally, there are more than enough people here who are active duty military and have clusters and more, and are NOT medically retired, to include the founder of this site.

Anyone who is active duty or has the military as part of their lives, be sure to follow up with your doc and get the information first hand on your own and not rely on posts here that are inaccurate at best when used in the general sweeping way the above statements are used.

Keeping up with all the new screen names John invents is getting tedious.

I think I'll just call him "Dampy, the Bed-wetting Clown".   It's easier to remember.
