Title: Anyone else having problems
Post by Linda_Howell on May 26th, 2007, 9:02pm

Getting a vverryyy, vveerryy  slow response in getting threads to come up here.?

I feel like I'm in a Dial-up nightmare.  But only here.  I go to cal-ouch and OUCH and I have no problem.

Anyone else?   or do I have to do an exorsism?

I haven't noticed anything, but I wouldn't.  People with dialup say my connection is slow (26.4k).

Try clearing your browser cache and see if that helps.

From time to time I do find issues connecting to any page in the site. I can change sites and it will load in no time, but come back to CH.com, adn I can't get the page to load.   I figured it had something to do with DJ and Steff being busy to send enough files to archive, that the site runs slow.  (Just an opinion not accusation.)

Same here once in a great while with dial up.  Lately the smiley selection is missing above message posting and have to create the simple ones I can remember with keyboard symbols, I get this:

browser not compatible with these buttons

semi colon and parenthesis to you    ;)

Thanks Mike -

Tried that and no change.  I go to any other website, MSN.com. whatever and everything downloads in a flash.  It is just with ch.com I'm having the slows.

Time to get out the Quiji  board and bow down to the moon Goddess I guess.   :-[

Mike I so appreicate what you do for the OUCH website on dial-up now..    [smiley=bow.gif]   You are   a man with infinite patience.   Either that,  or you change the oil in your car, give a sermon at your local church, and mow the lawn in between each and every thing you do.

    With new found respect,   Linda

Yes, I've been having the same issues with this site only. Sometimes I can't get any thread to load so I have to close the browser and re-enter the site.

Still sucks! Maybe the server is a slave to some hacker out there and we're left on the side of the road !

It happens to me also. I notice all my other sites work fine but CH.com won't load sometimes.

I also notice when it finally loads(sometimes up to half an hour or so) that several others have been posting as if nothing is wrong. ::)

This is why I nic-name it my "personal confuser"

Like I need something ELSE to confuse me?

Yes, I have the same problems at times, but I am not sure if it is this site, or my 'puter.  I am having some crazy problems.

Yep and I don't have dial up..... sometimes the stuff on the left side doesn't come up till I've been on here for a while.

Oh well...... something to worry about later....

Only the occasional problem with posts loading.

I have high speed internet.  Don't know what kind, only know that I have a 4' antenna on my roof pointing south towards some tower.
