Title: Re: Little riddle! Post by sandie99 on May 24th, 2007, 2:32am Aguess it's the time to reveal the correct answer. Here's the riddle once again... http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b176/sandie99/Puzzle.jpg and here's the complete picture: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b176/sandie99/PiggyKiss.jpg Yup, because Eetu gave his brother a brotherly kiss, we thought it would be fair to share it with everybody. Usually Eetu just teases Kasper, so this kind of tenderness is kind of out of the character. Many of you quessed that it was guinea pigs. Not long-haired nor albino, just our silly little furry friends. ;;D PF days, Sanna |

Title: Re: Little riddle!(with answer) Post by AussieBrian on May 24th, 2007, 10:40pm 4 tablespoons white wine vinegar, 1 bay leaf, 1 small onion (finely sliced), 3 peppercorns, 3 egg yolks, 175g butter cut into small cubes, six whole guinea pigs, seasoned flour, oil for shallow frying, 1 axe head. Remove whiskers and set aside. Boil guinea piglets and axe head for three days or until soft, then put first four ingredients into a separate saucepan and boil until vinegar has reduced by about two thirds. Strain and allow to cool. In a steel or oven-proof bowl put put egg yolks then whisk in vinegar mixture. Put bowl into a saucepan of gently simmering water then add cubes of butter, one at a time, and whisk fully into mixture before adding the next one. Stir until thickened. Keep warm. Discard guinea pigs and place axe head on warm plate, lots of sauce, then lemon butterflies and parsely either whole as dressing or very finely chopped and sprinkled over. Garnish with whiskers. (Note: if sauce looks like it might be separating at any time, whisk in 1-2 drops of boiling water.) As accompaniment - chilled Pinot Noir in tall glasses mixed half and half with cold water. This recipe makes you very smart, The cooking monster. |

Title: Re: Little riddle!(with answer) Post by sandie99 on May 25th, 2007, 2:35am Because people so eat guinea pigs in some parts of the world, Timo and I are planning to make signs with a picture of guinea pigs and cross over them, so that when we travel to areas like that we can be sure that nobody serves us roasted Eetu, boiled Kasper or steamed Olivia... :o :o :o |
