I agree with everthing except the last part. I read the bible a few times. Once I read one of those really small ones in the Brig. For me, the fight between good and evil is a personal one. I talk to God. Don't know if there's anyone listening but I guess for me, I think I'm really talking to me heart and soul. I totally respect faith and those who follow whatever faith the have, my faith is my soul, a human soul, who has to make decisions on how I live my life regardless of a book.

But, what the fuck do I know! ;)

It's a good post Ray.

The Bible can be helpful...and has been...so long as you don't just pick out only the parts you agree with.....like all my Unitarian friends. They know how to have fun with it and like to read ahead to be sure they are happy with the text.  :o :D

First of all, I feel really welcomed and appreciated.   That is so nice.

Like many here, I've been through the ringer more times than I can count and I've listed what works for me and I hope by sharing, it may be helpful to others.

I'm not here to preach and don't wish to be offensive to anyone.  The term "the beast" does have certain connotations...

On the other hand, if you WANT to converse on a biblical level, feel free to contact me privately.

Funny. I never connoted our beast with the biblical beast.  :o
