Sorry, the musician in me sees the bass player reach down and tune his instrument after they start. I ain't buying it.

He should put a crowbar in his wallet and buy something that stays in tune. I tune my StingRay once a month whether it needs it or not. ;;D

Plain and simple, those instruments suck. A guitarist should be able to hit his drummer over the head with his axe and not go out of tune (something about the softness of drummers' heads).

Nah, that guy's a pro. I'd compliment him and then engage him in conversation about the finer points of their music.
