My regular checkup with my neuro was yesterday and I've just got to tell ya'll what a neat neuro I have.

He has migraines (as does his son) and he keeps up on headache research (and checks out this website more often than not). He asks questions about what's going on with CH (even knows about shroom research at Harvard and the LSD studies).

We talked about Red Bull and he said he was going to send a can to school with his son to see if that would help abort his migraines.

He gives his new patients this website address so they can come here for support. Told me he got a new patient last week who's husband he was treating for CH and then she came to him with CH (her husband had been telling her that she had migraines cause she was a woman! - think we need Jonny's boots on this one :) - seems to me HUBBY needs to come to this site). Anyhow Dr. H. told her to check out this site and that WOMEN DID get CH.

My wish for all of you is that you could find a neuro like Richard Hamer. I've been with him for about 10 years and think he's the best CH doctor (and believe me I've been to some of the "so called" experts) around today. He's in Longview TX and if you're anywhere within driving distance I'd recommend him highly.

Anyhow, I'm good for another 4 months or 50,000 miles.

Good for you, Barbara......Good for Dr. H. too...

You hear all the horror stories about bad doctors who don't have the first clue.....then you read something like your post. There are good doctors out there....just takes searching...

I love hearing about GOOD encounters with docs. Not everyone is so fortunate.

Now, about his name - Dr. Dick Hamer - you sure he doesn't moonlight in the porn industry? ;;D
