Title: Mom Needs You (Updated)

My mom, Esther, is 74 years young. She's always been in good health. Never smoked, drank, or did drugs. She's never even cursed before. She's truley a wonderful person with a heart of gold.

Her feet and ankles swelled up. I made her go see her doctor. Diagnosis - Congestive Heart Failure. She's now in Nortons Hospital in Louisville and may have heart surgery for a pacemaker in the next few days. We're all a little scared. :'(

Plz say a prayer for this wonderful person, my mom.

Prayers for your MOM!

Don't worry too much about the pacemaker. I had one implanted just a three weeks ago and it was a piece of cake.

The question is.....why is she in congestive heart failure..what is the reason? That too is manageable.

Thanks everyone for the show of love and support. It means alot. You guys are all family to me.

I told mom about the post and replies and she got teary-eyed on me. She thanks all of you. She really believes in the power of prayer.

They did decide to do the pacemaker. She'll have it done this Monday in Louisville, KY. She's a little worried, we all are, but she's a tough lady and we all believe she'll make it through it okay. I'll keep you posted.

sorry I didn't see this before now. Of course prayers and good thoughts coming to you and yours.

a couple years back my mom had a pace maker put in and it has been wonderful. Her heart would slow to a point of stopping and now she wouldn't know if it was or not:) they even check the device by having her call it in and putting the phone to her chest and the telephone transmits signals from the pacmaker to the hospital without her having to go to the doctor. Amazing!
