Center City BP owner Raj Bhandari has been offering senior citizens a 2 cent per gallon price break and discount cards that let sports boosters pay 3 cents less per gallon. But the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says those deals violate Wisconsin's Unfair Sales Act, which requires stations to sell gas for about 9.2 percent more than the wholesale price. Bhandari said he received a letter from the state auditor last month saying the state would sue him if he did not raise his prices. The state could penalize him for each discounted gallon he sold, with the fine determined by a judge. Bhandari, who bought the station a year ago, said he worries customers will think he stopped the discounts because he wants to make more money. About 10 percent of his customers had used the discount cards. Dale Van Camp said he bought a $50 card to support the local youth hockey program. If you're a decent person and are doing all the right things they will penalize you. If you are scum and doing everything you can that's illegal they will turn the other way. Hell they tried to take my oldest (15) and put him into temporary placement at monday's arraignment hearing because of extensive psychiatric history - he went into the hospital Mar 6 2007 for depression and suicidal ideation. How is that extensive? The state govt's will take your children force high prices and tax you to oblivion if you are a decent person - guess we should all turn to pond scum. I cannot understand how the government thinks it's actually helping it's citizens by doing things such as this. Sorry, rant over. Cat |

Title: Re: this is just WRONG !!Gas Station Owner Told to Post by minnie on May 9th, 2007, 2:39pm Cat whats going on with your son and family is so wrong.I haven't posted about it because what they are putting your family through makes me so upset I can't begin to write something that would convey how upset I am at the way your family is being treated.I hope you,Clark and your family can feel our Love,Prayers and support.Your a great Mom doing everything for a son you Love even though at times it may not seem like he wants it .your definately are facing a bunch of people who don't see the harm they really are doing to your son.He needs help,support understanding not being treated as he is. :'( As for the article I posted it is a sad state of affairs the american dream used to include being you own boss (business owner,Home owner and raise a family) Now all the above are so regulated your house has to be a certain way,can't do so many things on your own property.Can't charge what you want (unless you overcharge ::) .) Parenting is so governed I obviously don't believe in beating a child.A good swat on the butt with your hand and a stern NO !! aren't believed in any more.around here the scanner has so many people calling in for uncontrollable kids from teens to as small as 5-12 years old.hell let them get a spanking and get sent to their rooms by their parents and leave the troopers for the real criminals.... ok off my soap box rant over minnie who even though I'm ranting I still Love my country just wish our hands weren't tied on so many things. |

Ya know "alcohol - ya have to close bars at a certain time" and other things, so it's alright to tell station owners how much to charge for gas - HUH? I don't really think they believe what they're saying. But at least it's made the national news so MAYBE it will wake up a FEW people to what's going on - or maybe not. It still amazes me that Dubba says he doesn't listen to people protesting. Maybe he should start listening - after all these are the PEOPLE who he's supposed to be representing. Oh well, MY letters and e-mails went off this week - Did Yours?
