Title: Guess what? Post by nani on Apr 20th, 2007, 12:56am I've been a non-smoker for 9 weeks and 1 day. I've set a new personal record. ;;D I'm only taking half the Chantix that's recommended, but I'm doing really well. The only time I still miss it is in the car. I eat a lot of mints in the car, LOL. Who else is still with me? :D |

Title: Re: Guess what? Post by writer on Apr 20th, 2007, 10:30am Boy, you need to reward yourself now! What an accomplishment! I know it is, because about 10 years I went through it and finally, finally managed to quit after a lifetime of smoking. It was one of the hardest things I ever did! I like best not smelling like an ashtray, or having my clothes/hair smell like an ashtray. You'll notice that even more as time goes on-- But please, do reward yourself for the nine weeks. Buy yourself something, no matter how small! Congrats again, and know from an oldtimer that eventually you'll feel human again. Barbara |

Title: Re: Guess what? Post by kimmiedawn81 on Apr 20th, 2007, 10:49am Way to go, Nani and Beth! I quit about 15 1/2 months ago. I, however, did have 1 about 6 months ago, and it made me so incredibly sick, and I haven't had a craving since! So, I've went 15 1/2 months with one. It's tough, but you can do it! It was not having a cigarette after a meal that killed me! I also started working out at the same time, which helped tremendously, it's a great stress reliever, and you lose weight instead of putting it on after quitting! And you feel amazing at the 2 things you accomplished! Just a thought. |
