Oh yes, me and my best supporter/boyfriend Timo are coming to UK this summer! :)

We just booked our tickets, so it's happening! ;;D
And I'm so excited! I've missed London and it's great to be back.

We're coming to UK in June 13th and we're leaving June 26th, so that leaves nicely time to visit all sort of places of interest and hopefully, meet some of you, UK clusterheads! :)

I believe that London and Uk in general will be just fine. After all, I studied in London for 3 years and the city still excists... ;)

Yorky,
we just begun to plan what we want to do and see while we're in there. So at this point all we know is that we want to have a nice vacation and relax. :) We've been toying with the idea about visiting Dublin or Paris.

I know that Timo has some family friends somewhere near Manchester; we might visit them, but it's a big if. Timo has been dreaming about visiting Stonehenge around Midsummer for ages, so that is also a possibility. My cousin lives in London, so I'm going to ask him if we can stay over at his place. We're going to visit him for sure.

We are going to go to the British Museum and probably Natural History Museum also. Naturally we're visiting my old neighbourhoods at Harrow and Holland Park and some of the places Timo went to 10 years ago.

I borrowed a travel guide last night from my local library and I've been looking at the map and tube station names and recalling the years I lived in London. I'm getting far too excited about this! :D

theres a lovely boat trip from westminster bridge pier up the river thames, an hour or four, depending on the tidal flow, to hampton court, henry viii old haunt. :), it would be nice to meet you both. andrew.

Sanna you know you and Timo are more than welcome to come and stay with me and I really hope you do!

I noticed your post about Stonehenge and so that you aren't disappointed I should let you know you can't get near the stones however - as a member of English Heritage (which I am!) visits can be arranged outside normal opening hours so if you want to actually go and touch them let me know and I'll arrange it for you through my membership.

I can't wait for your visit either!

Sanna come and stay with me and we'll do both - Carrie can tell you how I did that trip with her LOL we added Stratford upon Avon and Cheddar Gorge into THAT day though so it was loaded!

The Tower is great. Some great jewelry and some really great torture devices -- some for chopping heads off (great for clusterheads). ::)

Sanna, I'm GREENwith envy

I was fortunate enough at the ripe age of 20 to visit London, in the company of my mother, aunt and uncle...
but LONDON!

We had a whirlwind trip beginning in Edinburgh, Scotland - 2 days, London - 3 days, Innsbruk, Austria - 3 days, Copenhagen-2 days, Rome - 4 days, Madrid - 4 hours, and somewhere in Portugal, where the plane landed, re-fueled then flew back to New York - I don't know, I was asleep at the time.

But London was my fav! I've always loved reading about the English Monarchy, especially Henry VIII and his many wives. It was so cool to actually see where he beheaded a couple of those wives at the Tower.

That was, let's see.......40 years ago! :'(

Have a wonderful time....and, mind Helen! ;;D

Helen, thank you so much for your offer! We'd love to come! :) I've been wanting meet you for so long so it's fantastic that it's finally happening this summer.

And you just made Timo's day with that information about Stonehenge. He knew that visitors cannot get near the stones and he wanted to do that. I could see how his eyes light up when he read your post. :)

Sanna if you're meeting those two reprobates I'll make sure I get some antiseptic hand wipes for you ;) ESPECIALLY that Ting Tong - ::)

We'll have to chat soon so we can arrange stuff - I shall take you to Avebury as well as Stonehenge, thats another stone circle and it's wonderful, you really can wander amongst the stones there, there's even a pub in the middle where we could stop for a drink - Timo will love it! (Its full of sheep too though so don't tell Ting Tong we're going okay - we don't need him getting any of THOSE idea's!!)
