The attacks have restarted. I've only had 2 attacks so far, both waking me out of sleep the last 2 nights ( and they were very bad) . Imitrex injection worked for each attack in about 10 minutes.

I know their going to get worse and more frequent. They always do. :-/ Here we go again ::)

The last Histamine treatment worked great for about 8 weeks. I can't complain. That was awesome !

Since I don't want to go into the hospital again right now, I've chosen to do another steroid burst until after next weekend. If they return, I'll go in and do more Histamine.

I'm not gonna let this ruin my plans for next weekend !! ( ARCA Race ) ;)

Sorry the bastard is back, but like you said, you got about 8 glorious, pain free weeks out of it. I'd buy THAT for a dollar! LOL

Hoping the steroid burst kicks it back into the closet for you.

Pardon my CRS, but it seems I remember you talking about checking into DBS. What ever came of that? I'd try to go back and look it up, but with this damned dial-up the search page is more frustrating than useful.

So sorry US..good point made by gator, try to remember the pain free weeks...it could be an omen. Im praying for you.

To me, eight weeks without a hit is something I cannot even understand. Please don't take that in any way minimizing your plight. It gives me hope.

Anyway, I hope the prednisone works...it used to work for me...for about six months...God it was unbelievable. Hoping it ALWAYS is effective for you.

I emailed Dr. Rozen @ MHNI and after discussing it with him, he pointed me to Dr. Black @ The Mayo Clinic. Dr. Black said that they had done it twice for unilateral chronic cluster headache patients. Neither patient found relief and they were all disappointed. :-/ I don't remember him mentioning side effects or complications.

I took my first dose of Prednisone last night. It was a large dose ... 80mg. I'll take 60mg for a few days now then continue decreasing until next week. It's already helped to ... I was able to sleep all the way through the night without any hits :)
