Title: Healthcare Costs (Complaining)
Post by pieface_49 on Apr 14th, 2007, 11:33pm
Have been bummed out most of the day after finding the most recent hospital bills came in.  Just dawned on me things could be worse and I am lucky to have health insurance.  I am still going to complain :)

MRI - My costs $644
Ambulance - My costs $378 (benefits say not covered)
ER Visit - My costs $186 (benefits say not covered)

Drugs while in ER - Covered costs $342
I got a friggin shot in the ass by a nurse.  Have no idea what it was, given it after the hit ended.  Going to argue the "benefits not covered" crap.  The ER was a waste of time and the Doc asked me a couple questions and left.  Had to wait in line (3 hours) while in the ER, like all others.

OK, I am done  ;;D.  Have to pay the bills.

Donnie

I gave up on the ER a long time ago./  By the time you get seen you don't need it any more unless it is total trauma and are brought in on a stretcher.  A friend of mine went in after almost cutting off his hand with a table saw and they would see him until he filled out the forms./  DUH!  Finally he told the flunky at the counter to give him the form and unwrapped the cloth he had around his hand and bled all over the form, handed it back to her and told her it was filled out.

Hope you have better days ahead.

Jerry
