Title: Re: Do you see a trend?? Post by cynjeep89 on Apr 15th, 2007, 12:58pm I think I may have found a solution to our problems. Had to buy a new coffee maker yesterday, sat down this AM to cruise thru the manual and read this: "Welcome and congratulations on the purchase of your new Mr. Coffee Coffeemaker. Your new FT Series coffeemaker will wake up with you in the morning and provide you breaks and treats during your hectic daily activities. How you enjoy your Mr. Coffee Coffeemaker is up to you." Well, heck.....for $45 bucks I now have something to wake up with me in the morning, provide me breaks and treats, is self cleaning, can tell time, can be programmed, has a brew strength/delay indicator, warmer temperature knob and I can "customize the length of the power cord so that it is the exact length I desire". I am also free to decide how I will enjoy it. Now if I can just teach it to cut the grass, maintain my Jeep, walk my dogs, shovel snow, clean the house, do laundry, etc. I will be one happy camper!!! |

Title: Re: Do you see a trend?? Post by mikezz on Apr 15th, 2007, 1:02pm i think you might have paid a little too much,,,could prob have found it for 5 dollars less. So maybe now someone should start a Mrs. Coffee line but until then i just told wife she's maklng her own coffee from now on |

Title: Re: Do you see a trend?? Post by cynjeep89 on Apr 15th, 2007, 1:13pm Reading thru the manual is worth the $5 extra I may have paid...having a few chuckles here. For example, in the Troubleshooting section of the manual: "Problem: The on light does not light up." "Possible Cause/Solution: The appliance is unplugged. There's a power outage. Plug the unit in. Wait for power to be restored" "Problem: The coffeemaker only brews water." "Possible Cause/Solution: There are no coffee grounds in the filter basket. Add the desired amount of coffee to the filter." "Problem: The coffee is not brewing. "Possible Cause/Solution: The allliance is unplugged. There's a power outage. Plug the unit in. Wait for power to be restored." Sheesh...... ::) |
