First off I have to apologise for not answering pm's lately - I'm wiped out trying to post to the few threads I do and to be honest, I'm concentrating more on OUCH stuff than anything else.

My bloods are still all over the place and I've had a couple of scares in the last two weeks but I see the consultant again on Wednesday and I have to say (I can't believe I'm saying it mind you!) - that I'm glad. I'm sick of feeling like this.

I'm having difficulty eating now - I think its a side effect of all the throwing up etc. I'm able to manage soup and "sloppy stuff like cooked cauliflower and other veggies, tinned tomatoes and scrambled eggs. Potatoes I can't swallow no matter how I cook them and its starting to worry me alot as for the first time ever I can see how food phobia's start. I am eating, about six times a day but just tiny amounts so I can keep it down. This all means I don't have much energy either so I can't do much before I need to lie down. I don't know what my next options are but right now I don't care, I can't go on like this.

I'm getting by though, my spirits are high and I'm doing as much as I can. I'm having friends come to stay today until wednesday so I'm having a semi party tomorrow night and feeding everyone (Matt and Carrie will know what I mean LOL) I'm going back to Kent at the weekend to celebrate my friends birthday and Barneys birthday and I'm looking forward to those. I don't want sympathy and bear in mind there are plenty of people alot worse off than me - all I wanted to do was try and stop offending people by not answering pm's as I just can't do it all and I'm sorry.
I hope you understand, I love you all to bits and I want to be more active but its one step at a time for now so please bear with me!

Take care of yourself Helen. We've just been through an illness with Sarah and her not wanting to/not being able to eat. It makes recovery damned hard when you can't refuel your body.

So sorry you still aren't feeling that well. If you recall, I got to the point where I didn't want to eat at all because of vomiting every morning. Finally it turned around once I started taking the motilium properly but my problem was of an entirely different nature...! But all I'm sayin is that I totally understand a "food phobia" - and still my family makes a HUGE deal over what time I'm eating and what....so it's ended up affecting everyone in some way! I hope the specialist appointment goes well. I've two on Wednesday - I'm off that day, too, so if you are up to/want to talk Wednesday (eve for you...my last appt is at 1:30 I think?), then we could surely plan for that day! Only if you want.....I'm open to adding another medical voice to trying to answer crazy questions if you need. ;)

When is Barney's bday? I want to send him a card! But if it is this week, the card will be late....but it'll be a nice surprise later I suppose! I forget how old he is turning....12? In fact, I think I need a run down of all 3 of their b-days! lol It's the only way I can still be the "cool aunt from America"...hahaha

I miss you!! Hope you get to feelin better real soon!!!

Carrie I'll call you wednesday evening - I'll be in Kent by then! (Cos I'm NOT gonna be in hospital for my son's birthday!)

Barney is 12 on the 14th April
Brid is 13 (Shit when did THAT happen?!) on 8th May and
Jasper will be 6 on 21st August

Time flies eh?! I can't believe all my babies are getting so big *sigh*

Jimi I'll be here tonight and tomorrow night and then home again Sunday night so we'll work something out between us honeybun. :-*

It's interesting, but Barney and I have born on the same day. It's odd to turn 27 though... ;;D

My Daddy always said to take care of your health. He said if you're fairly healthy you can manage all the other shit that life brings. It's the truth, cause my Daddy said so... :D

Helen.....

Just today... this morning as a matter of fact... I thought to myself...
How does that woman do it? Always there with a kind word and a spot on comment, keeping a watchful eye on "the family," a finger on its pulse and a tickle for the funny bone.

I only know you as well as one can through this contraption... reading your posts and catching a glimpse of your turn of mind. I know you also through what I read by others responses. Helen is well Loved and loves well.

Take care of yourself as best you can and please don't ever feel you need to apologize for being less than 100% accessible. From what I've come to know of you... you have logged in enough love to keep you current until the year 2048.
