Go get my kids from school, (for some reason I feel they would be in school should this news come) and we would hug and talk and hold hands and leave with the world as we know it... together.

If the decision of some lunatic is going to cause the demise of mankind,  I want the children I bore and placed the future in their hands, with me as we meet our ends.  I want the opportunity to explain to them, and calm them and allow a passing of ease and comfort as much as can be provided.  

I won't get into the belief system behind this.  I just don't want them to feel isolated and alone.  I'm used to it.
