Title: Flash Mobs...

After a long day at work and faced with a commute home I think I would go medieval on these kids.

Talk about a generation of self centered meatheads. ;;D

Quote:
University of London student Lucy Dent, 20, was among the flash mobbers. She said: "It was my first flash mob and I'm hooked. I've been dancing non-stop since we began.

"I didn't even notice the commuters. When you get into the dancing you're oblivious to them and forget you're at a railway station."

Next flash mob gathering, an eight hour event at U of London's library during her final exams week.

"I just kept dancing and dancing, totally oblivious I was in a library where people were studying for exams."

Nice way to acknowledge people as something to navigate around you, a universal snub of the people a couple feet away, a choice of indifference, virtual social autism.

Everyone should just bring their i-pods to a nightclub and dance with headphones to their own tune and see how much fun it would be, it would be a quick fad.

Get an iPod and join the party.......  It's so refreshing to hear of mobs breaking out in a joyous and fun activity...... Soooooooo much better than the mayhem of another suicide bomber.

I can just imagine the headlines.... "Dancing Fools Interrupt War"

hey paul in the 80s inthe start of nite.
up to 10 thousand ravers (kids wanning to dance, 60s style loving) would turn up at a secret location(sorry farmers)
usually just off a main motorway, just park up,blocking motorways, for up to 20 hours (cops could do nowt to stop us, all organising was underground  ;) .
we used to dance solid 4 20 hours...it was bliss.

lets just say it was woodstock every month   ;;D

I can remember picketing city hall several times in '71 over the Viet Nam war with chants and posters.  There was quite mess of us but we were always courteous to the people going in and out conducting their business.  Of course indifference to that was obstructive to peace.

Paul you're just a grumpy old man!  :P

Personally I think people all getting together like that for peaceful fun is a bloody good thing (especially as I don't live in Victoria anymore although thats where I was born and bred!!!)
