Thats because it is a .gif file and shutterfly will not support it, for you or me....LOL ;;D

Anyone know how to convert it to a .jpg or .jpeg?

Just open it with paint and choose "Save As" at the bottom of the save window select JPEG.

Voila!  jpg file.
