Title: Cookout at my house Saturday
Post by BarbaraD on Apr 1st, 2007, 4:06pm
Ok, I've been trying to PM everyone who lives in this area but know I'm missing some of you.

Matt is coming in Saturday and we're having a cookout at my house.

Anyone in the area of Atlanta (TX, LA, AR, OK) are invited to attend. I'm not sure what's on the menu (hot dogs, hamburgers??????) whatever... It'll fill ya up. O2 on tap, ice packs available upon request, kids welcome (lots of dirt and Caleb can show them how to make MUD), bring 4-wheelers if ya want to or whatever (Buddy'll show ya the trails).

PM me and I'll give you directions (I'm REALLY easy to find -- this is CASS country folks).

If ya'll can make it -- come on down....

Hugs BD

Nothin' finer in all of Chine'r than company with Barbie at the Red Hill barbeque outdoor diner.    ;)

How about some fish?

If I can get to Texarkana to BUY some damn fish we'll have fish, but IT'S TAX SEASON and I'm down to the wire right now so I don't know if I'll make it up there. But for you my dear, I'll TRY.... (haven't had time to GO fishing and it's about to get to me -- I wanna go fishing!!)

Caleb is making a "race track" for 4-wheelers in the front yard. Grass was coming up nicely, but dirt is good  ::) . Track coming along nicely. Got trails all over the woods, but front yard is handy.

Can't wait till Saturday.

And a wonderful saturday it was. Matt was awol (hope all is well). Being outnumbered I did the smart thing and sat quietly and kept me liddle mouth shut! (As if I could have gotten in a word with Barb and Delta  :-X. )
I burnt the burgers and hot dogs, but both were nice enough to eat quietly and be nice, lol.
Thanks Barbara, the food was great and the company even better!

Great summation Jimbo.    ;;D

As long as they didn't burn your ass ...

Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but two more "boring" people I've just never met... ;;D  Delta barely said a word and Jimbo was just horrible.... ;;D

Ok, for you newbies out there -- that's not EXACTLY the truth -- it was a wonderful meeting. These are two of the greatest people I've met to date (and I've met a few clusterheads). We were all worried about Matt (who is usually the first one anywhere). Finally heard from him (today) and he had some personal problems so all is forgiven (this time). But we did muddle along without him (a few dozen phone calls which he didnt' answer, but ....).

Jimbo brought my little Caleb the most beautiful walking stick (for mountain climbing) that he'd made. Caleb loves it and even slept with it last night.

After all these years of meeting Clusterheads it still amazes me that there is no "dead space" when we meet. We always seem to have something to talk about (non stop). And don't let Jimbo fool you -- he got SEVERAL words in crosswise -- (when Carolyn and I had to stop to take a breath). They have one amazing daughter.

I urge any of you who have yet to meet another clusterhead to find a way to meet one. It's just worth the effort. But you won't know until you do it.

And to Carolyn and Jimbo -- the welcome mat is out anytime...

Hugs BD

Gee ... she didn't rave like that when she met me ...

Although, I MIGHT have heard her mumble "A$$HOLE" under her breath as she walked away, shaking her head ...

LOL ... That is NOT true, but I gotta pick on this marvelous woman .. she might think I was mad at her if I didn't pick on her ...

Meet clusterheads!!  It is SO worth it!

Chuck (who has met one or two .. or more)

WHAT????? And spoil the illusion that I'm 29, blonde and weigh 100 pounds!!! What the hell will people think if Carolyn posts a picture of an old woman grabbing a feel of Jimbo's butt?

And Chuck we DID discuss YOUR rear... Well, actually Jimbo stayed out of THAT conversation -- it was a toss up between you and Jonny...... ;;D (And BTW -- "I" was the OFFICIAL Bun Patrol before YOU ever came along! - YOU just took over MY territory! :-* )

Glad Caleb likes the stick. Grandma got a stick to. Is she walking up and down the hill?  [smiley=huh.gif]

It's always well worth the effort to meet another clusterhead. I had never met one till Dallas. Now to meet the beautiful Barb. What more can I say.

There will be a couple of pics when I can get my Adobe program to work.  Right now, I can't resize or do anything, so I'm in limbo!
