egos and  insensitivity...people's hearts all varnished.http://bestsmileys.com/misbehaving/6.gif http://bestsmileys.com/angry1/11.gif

Notseinfeld and Bob (Bluemeanie) post now and then.

And more than a few of the others are around...just not posting here.

You fucking hypocrite.  There were a few people on your "list" that you couldn't stand, just like there are many people who post regularly now that you could give two shits about.  So concerned, yet you missed one person's (who was on your "list") post a few threads down from this one at the time you posted it.  So concerned, yet you didn't know one of the people on your list was dead.  So quick to point your finger at others.

Why don't you come down off your fucking high horse and join the rest of the human beings on this message board, "Mr Better than everyone else."

Steve, I have to ask you...
Back in those "good old days" when all those people on the list you pulled posted regularly, did you ever post anything besides:
your poetry
a post to a controversial thread that gets people all riled up
a thread of your own to start shit with someone
or, a post you use to bump one of the above, that you pull in 30 seconds?

Just wondering...

1. Numerous posts/threads about Sleep Apnea relating to CH.
2. Numerous posts/threads about Restless Leg Syndrome relating to CH.
3. An antibiotic meds and CH drug interaction warning/alert thread.
4. Several Meet & Greet's I organized locally.
5. Countless hours over the years lending support to those in need [I don't have to post publicly every time I support someone for self-ego stroaking/the hero syndrome like some do].
6. Countless hours on the phone lending support.
7. Countless private messages lending support.
8. Numerous picture and comedic threads.

Jonny,

I've never been asked the amount in my bank account before someone accepted my support or friendship.
I also have never had to pay for friendship or support.
If you have and/or do, I guess that's your decision.

I didn't know support and friendship was rated by how much money you have...or have spent.
I've always believed support and friendship came from the heart, not from a bank.
I guess you learn something new about people everyday.
You spend your money.
I'll stick with using my heart.

There's a famous saying: "You can't put a price on friendship." I'd say the same thing goes for support.
Evidently you can. Again, that's your decision.
The friendship/support I have given and have received comes with no price tag.

*Thanks for being yet another example of exactly what I was talking about in my original post.

Real friendship is shown in times of trouble; prosperity is full of friends.

I never said it was all I have done, *note the line "...shall I go on?".

A few more examples:
When my friend was in serious health trouble because the airlines lost his luggage containing his meds, I didn't hesitate to get him to an Urgicenter ASAP so he could get medication.
I didn't ask for payment nor did I expect it for this gesture. I did it because it was the right thing to do.I did it because he is my friend.

When O.U.C.H. needed an emcee for their game show [DALCON], I did it gladly and from the response/comments during the game [and afterwards]...all our efforts were appreciated.
*The contestants made the game show what it was, hilarious.
You know what they say, laughter is the best medicine. :)

Time spent supporting in MSN Messenger & the former HSG Chat.

Reality? Unless someone hijacked his computer, the words & thoughts were expressed/typed/posted by him.
My reply related to the subject of money brought up by him as it pertains to support/friendship.
*Personally, I think his comments were uncalled for and undeserved.
I don't know if he is proud of what he said, that you would have to ask him.

As far as my response, I stand by what I said.

Steve, my point is you chose to use the word "evidently" with putting a price on friendship, without  any evidence.  Can you show me instances this is true, or was this just your interpretation with a low-road response?

I believe Nani was inquiring about your "posts" only, what you show to other people reading the board, yet you chose to interpret that favorably as a chance to report publicly of your non-post contributions, as well as repeat it.  Nice stuff.

But also add:

Can you show me where Nani hates your poetry or does not have the ability to create?  Or is this another low-road reply.

Your poem mentions about people who left but I recall it was your post that was certainly most jubilant when Ueli went guest.

Some of us sure miss them...some simply just don't care.

Do you miss him, or simply don't care?  Which "some" are you?

But I guess you can simply just let your posts that show this side of you simply lapse back several pages and then "evidently" remove them.

It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor.
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?...

It's a neighborly day in this beauty wood,
A neighborly day for a beauty.
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?...

I've always wanted to have a neighbor just like you.
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So, let's make the most of this beautiful day.
Since we're together we might as well say:
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?
Won't you please,
Won't you please?
Please won't you be my neighbor?
;;D

Steve, my point is you chose to use the word "evidently" with putting a price on friendship, without  any evidence.  Can you show me instances this is true, or was this just your interpretation with a low-road response?

I believe Nani was inquiring about your "posts" only, what you show to other people reading the board, yet you chose to interpret that favorably as a chance to report publicly of your non-post contributions, as well as repeat it.  Nice stuff.

Can you show me where Nani hates your poetry or does not have the ability to create?  Or is this another low-road reply.

Your poem mentions about people who left but I recall it was your post that was certainly most jubilant when Ueli went guest.

Do you miss him, or simply don't care?  Which "some" are you?

But I guess you can simply just let your posts that show this side of you simply lapse back several pages and then "evidently" remove them.

Take a look at what you post.

Again, more venom. *Sigh*   :(
Another shining example [above] of the type person I was referring to in my original post.
Kevin, I'll just consider the source [you].   ::)

and, no, no one can just let this thread just shrivel up and die. it wants to die, but just when it is about to, here we go again, with more "attack smileys".

Using "attack smileys" is like sending your sister to go beat up somebody.

Steve(KOP)
I think I know you pretty well, and I consider you a great friend. I know how you feel about negativity, and bashing, and I know a lot of the things you do-and have done....but I don't know them all. I also know you have disdain  for a lot of the muckracking that goes on here-we've talked about that, and I am with you.......you know that as well.
There are a lot of people in this place we call Clusterville. They are as diverse as any community can be. We can't change them, nor would we really want to, coz then, we'd all be the very same.
Your words...... your poems hold great value! They cannot be quantified......but they can always be appreciated! The dollars one puts into this effort are also appreciated, but no value can be placed on that, other than what was spent, because the value is in the response......what result was there....in both, this cannot be quantified.
Bottom line, for me, is this....yes, I would prefer that noone use abrasive comments, accusatory/inflammatory remarks on their brothers/sisters in pain, but I am not responsible for their words. Only my own.
I don't have to agree with you 100% to care about you and consider you a friend..and it is NOT my place to tell you how to comport yourself on this board or in life. I like you as you stand...period!
That said, I understand you feel this board is not as warm and supportive and caring as it used to be........well, I remind you, it has grown, adding more personalities into the mix. They give and take as  they see fit. I don't think the negativity has changed a whole lot since this was a smaller group, in fact, I remember some huge flamefests in the past, and the subsequent fallout. There are people who have left because the group got "too big" for them years ago! "We" might've been in the group that came onboard when these people were saying "it's just too impersonal"......well, we're here, nonetheless, and I admit, I am not in chat, and I'm really not even posting much right now. There are new people I don't know at all.........but, for starters, till I do know these new people, I will continue to welcome them, offer them assistance where I can, and I will continue my friendships with those  I have already bonded.....and, as always, I will "take what I need and leave the rest".
You once told me you would never be a part of a negative post. You wanted to be a help, not a hindrance. You are a wonderful, caring person. Please continue to be just that.

"Let the water flow"...........(thank you, Dennis, for my 2 favorite quotes......)

My very best wishes, Steve along with a hope that you will be around for a very long time!
Big hugs......

Go figure.  You sit on your self-righteous perch and point your fingers at others and all are supposed to be silenced into submission and repent their evil ways.  Problem is some of the people you point at have seen you commit the very sins you so despise.  When they call you on it and you open your fly and sprinkle more disdain upon them.

You've been fishing for a reaction for a long time with your better than thou postings.  Now you got what you were looking for.  Hope you are enjoying it.

Mike, It surely does no good to goad people. Steve HAS been a strong, positive force here.

You KNOW him.

Isn't CH in itself, enough to deal with?

It does nothing for peace and stability to point fingers at people and point out the bad rather than to celebrate the good, either, but here we are.

You KNOW him.

I thought I did, obviously I was mistaken.

Isn't CH in itself, enough to deal with?

Apparently not.

Maybe it would, MRS PIERCE, but it won't die if people keep bumping it back up.  We'll see if it will be allowed to die now.

Well now, there's an idea! Let's keep this at the top. We can continue to refine it, boil it down until people who think it is soo allfired important to make their points..................lose interest.
Oh and do you have any other words in your vocabulary or is it really that small?

Cathi........
