We had a great weekend and spent most of it OUTSIDE -- I'm so brown this morning I'd qualify (if I could speak spanish) for the guest worker program. I have COLOR! First time I've been this dark this early in years. (and I still haven't gotten to the fishing hole YET!)

We had 8 big kids and 5 little ones (2 year old twins, 10 year old, 7 year old and Caleb) -- It was total chaos at the Hendersons and I laughed more than I have in years. My son set the woods on fire (well, it needed some clearing anyhow) and the big kids decided to go check out the pigs about midnight with the four wheelers - got stuck and got unstuck, muddy whatever (did I mention there was "some" alcohol involved in their venture?)

When I went to sleep I had three kids in bed with me (one was massaging my neck -- I wanted to keep her!)

Sunday was complete chaos with the kids digging a big hole and filling it with water and making the neatest red mud hole and then going swimming in it. I told their parents it would be easier to get new kids than to clean those up. We stripped them at the back door and hosed them off before we let them get in the bathtub, but every bathtub in the house is filled with red mud. I think the clothes are pretty well shot - they're still red after 5 washings. Everyone departed about sundown yesterday and my poor dogs fell down and haven't woke up yet. Granny is exhausted, but it's a good exhaustion and I didn't get a headache thru any of it (great news).

Hope ya'll had half as much fun over the weekend as I did. I'm geared up for the week now. Feel better than I have in months.

Wish I could tan like that! I have really fair skin, and burn a lot, which is why I keep SPF 30 on when I'm outside during the summer. So, I wish I had your skin tone. I'm jealous!!

Chuck, I swear that kid was awesome -- she really had the "touch". I told her mom she would fit right in at the school here in Linden and they could visit on weekends....
