Title: Re: "NDE"....truth or BS? Post by Lizzie2 on Mar 14th, 2007, 7:31pm I think it's just the brain playing tricks on you, really... Now - the people who say they've had them say that it's ok if there are skeptics because until others have them, too - they can't possibly know. Well that's the thing - I believe what these people are saying about their near-death experiences - I just believe that they are the brain playing tricks rather than some actual separation of mind/body or going towards a tunnel to the light. I'm sure it's the neuro-nerd in me. I do, however, believe in Heaven. I just don't know if I believe that it happens like that! Guess we'll find out someday! ;) |

Title: Re: "NDE"....truth or BS? Post by BB on Mar 14th, 2007, 7:52pm Its interesting that only 18% of those "tortured" by the centrifuge machine ended up having NDE. Does that mean only some of us are "predisposed" to abnormal brain functions while under extreme stress? What about the rest who dont? Are those not "holy" enough to have these experiences ? In my opinion, being able to scientifically trigger a NDE in 20% of the population doesnt prove or disprove whether after life exists. If NDE is simply a malfunction of the brain, wouldnt it happen to everyones brain when under extreme stress? Why only 18-20% ? Maybe what it proves is that only 20% of us has hope of an after life , the rest are goners! 8) Annette |
