I'm off to Helsinki in few hours' time, but I have good news I just have to share! :)

1. We just got the keys to our new appartment! :) My boyfriend is going there already this weekend; he said he's going to clean it and take some of his things. It's so exciting! ;;D

My tiny room looks like a storage space, because I've already packed a lot of my stuff into brown boxes. [smiley=laugh.gif]

2. Our guinea pig Eetu decided that his "drinking strike" is over!
Those of you who have seen pics of Eetu and Kasper, our guinea pigs, Eetu is the light brown one with red eyes. He has lately been drinking in secret; we have not seen him drink water in ages, which made us worried. But this morning he pretty much drank the whole water bottle empty! It's good to see that he is okay... :)

3. I have 2 interviews coming tomorrow! ;;D As you recall, I didn't get picked to the journalism school, but this Friday two magazines are interviewing me for a summer job! It's exciting indeed! I'm so happy I could jump up and down from joy! ;;D

Wish me luck - if I get one of the jobs, that means that I can begin saving euros for my first convention trip! ;;D

Life is great right now! ;;D

I'm sure that you all are dying to hear how the interviews went... [smiley=laugh.gif] so here's an update:

First interview lasted about 5 minutes. I was interviewed by two men, the editor and the sub editor. One in his 40s, other in mid 30s.

Questions were:
tell us about your studies and work experience,
which celebrities you have interviewed in that past, what is the most outrageous thing you have ever done, are you afraid of calling people who do not want to talk to you and where your ethics draws the line!

In other words, piece of cake! ;;D

If their idea was to see if they can scare the hell out of me with all the questions, they are about decade too late! [smiley=laugh.gif] They will let me know by the end of the month if I was picked.

The other interview... again, two men interviewed. They both were about 40-something, very nice and polite. One was the editor and the other subeditor, again.

And pretty much the only question they asked was: what TV programmes I watch? (this job would be working at TV department, which makes 150 pages of tv and movies related content to 3 magazines)

Then they told me all about how their department creates the content to those 3 magazines and what kind of things I would get to do there. For example, seeing new films in advance and write about it "if that kind of thing interets you..." ;;D That would be brilliant!!!

Then they asked me to write 2 short pieces there and then. One was an introduction about a documentary and the other about new drama. It was fun and the editor of the department complimented my work.

Now, the editor told me that he has no idea when the work would begin, how many summer trainees he needs and when he can let me know if I got the job... but he promised to let me know asap. :)

If I will have to choose between these two, I'd pick the latter. Why? Because it's more me. The people, the department, the content... so me. :)

I'm keeping my thumbs up that I will sometime find out that I have a summer job! :)
