Title: Re: One Poxy Angel.. Post by artonio7 on Mar 5th, 2007, 3:53pm JASPER!!!!!! Don't scratch!!!!!!!! Ask you're mum to put cotton gloves on you so you won't. Ok... who wants to take bets that he'll have a tiny little pock mark in the center of his forehead. I was his age when I had chicken pocks and I've been carrying the "Badge" on my forehead ever since. Beautiful little angel Helen!!!!! with warm regards, Tony |

Title: Re: One Poxy Angel.. Post by Mosaicwench on Mar 5th, 2007, 4:03pm I have the same "badge" in the same place. The older I get the less visible it is in all the wrinkles that are appearing . . . .the ONLY good use for wrinkles, I guess. My kiddo got them the first day of Summer break when he was 10. He's gotten the vaccine a year earlier so I didn't recognize them for what they were and he had 50 or less pox, so not too bad. Kissy to Jasper - what a bummer to have the "pops." |

Title: Re: One Poxy Angel.. Post by Lizzie2 on Mar 5th, 2007, 10:43pm Awww...poor Jabs!! He actually looks so grown up in that picture - in just a few months!!! Have Brid and Barney already had the pox? I remember having them - I had been out learning to ride my bike without training wheels with my parents and brother - I actually rode over one of those cement parking blocks (you know the things you pull up to in the lot?), and ended up falling off my seat and landing on the bar of the bike. (Good thing I'm a girl...although it still hurt!!) I remember being more embarrassed than anything! Got home, and my mom was checking me over to make sure I wasn't hurt before I took a shower, and there were my first 3 pox on my tummy!! My brother, who is 22 months younger, got them soon after me. I remember being so upset because I had to miss our class field trip to Busch Stadium in St. Louis, and I was going to get to go on the field and even meet my very favorite baseball player, Ozzy Smith!! I was sooooo upset that I couldn't go!! I still have a couple of scars on my face, too. Jabs never had to get the chicken pox immunization did he? I can't remember when they started that! Curious to know if he did get it, but then got the pox anyway!! I can picture him in your living room... this is an odd memory, but when I was there, I'll not forget him carrying Pussolini under the "armpits" from behind, and the cat just hanging there, not even making a fuss at all! It cracked me up...I asked Jabs if I could hold Puss because he looked kinda uncomfortable!! lol If that had been Tony, I'm afraid he would have bit or scratched him!! Wonder how our cats are the same age basically, but so different!! Hugz - and give Jabs a hug from me to get well soooooooooooon!!! Carrie :) |
