I don't have PayPal (nor will I ever have it due to the spam I get about the closing of my non-existant account), or I'd get in on this.  Can never be to rich or too thin.

Oh well, I'll just have to see what Power Ball is up to and I'll try my hand at that.

There's nothing wrong with PayPal.  All you have to do is ignore all those emails.  They aren't from PayPal at all, they are a kind of hacking attempt called 'phishing'.  If you click on one of those links in those emails, your computer is most likely going to be, well, fubar'd.

I've been using PayPal for 7 years now.  Paid for over 100 eBay auctions with it, plus I've used it to send money to lot's of different people.  I get those emails to, but I just delete them.

Rule of thumb is, don't click on links that are mailed to you by anybody.  Period.

Nobody should be afraid of PayPal.  It works, and it's a handy service.

I think we should do a pool.  Can you imagine?  I'm in for $5, where/how do I send it?

After one round of Identity theft to the tune of over 8 grand that took 2 years to clear up, I suppose I've become more gaurded with my finances.  To be honest, I was very stressed about taking out a loan for my Aztek.  I've been one that if I can't pay cash, I shouldn't be buying.

I did not even check the numbers yet.
It is a 19-person $5 pool.

That said, I would gladly host a $5 pool for us, whether you have PayPal or not.
Reply if interested.  If we get 10+ people I will IM my paypal address and mailing address to those who want some.
(I know your $$$ will not make it to me in time via the mail, so I will spot you... no worries)

Paypal isn't really a problem if you never answer the spam emails. When I get those emails....the dire consequence kind; I delete it. I've never had trouble because if I'm worried, I go the long way with my password. I never go to paypal from a link.

Don't know what I'd do without it.

Ya know, I think that I would have no clue as to what to do with that amount of money other than paying off bills, putting about 2 mil. in a nest egg for retirement, $60,000 a piece for the kids college and then give the rest to charity. :-/

I don't know what the taxes etc are on such a lump of money, but if anyone does and would care to figure out what the take home is per person who entered the pool would be...that might make it easier to dream about what we'd do with all the money.

I'd have to give some away, but  definately be investing the majority of it to make sure me and the kids are covered for many years to come.  I wouldn't quit working altogether, however, I would find something I like to do that does more good for the world than advertising.

hmmmm... I would have the majority of the money placed into a money making fund.... from this foundation I would have a meager sum dispensed to friends and certain family members once a month, (a trust if you will).

Each person who is the recipient of the monthly allowance would be able to increase the sum by working for a non profit organization from a list that I will provide. The more hours they log each week... the more money they get.



oh... yeah... I'd also buy a couch.
