Busy 2006.

Still milking my back surgery for all it is worth... 'oooo my back hurts!!!! make me a sammich!'

Finished the 2nd level of the house, which was honestly a nice case of 'biting off more than I should have'. There was nothing difficult, but it was finishing another 3000 sq ft. We did the framing, electrical, duct work, ceiling, plumbing... all kinds of shit. I do not do drywall though.

That level sits 90% done. Tile is in. Carpet comes the 14th & 15th of this month. Still need to select and install vanities in the 3 bathrooms on that floor... and toilets. And the wet bar in one room and a dry bar in the other. And fit out 2 walk in closets. And outfit the wine cellar. And make the big-assed wine cellar door.
Fuck... I just depressed myself.

And I built a golf simulator, which seems kinda fucking stupid since my front yard is the 6th fairway of a country club... but our plans are for Katie to get a golf scholarship... so her job is, literally, golfing... on the course or in the simulator.

Oh, how could I forget landscaping. I just pointed here and there, letting the pros take care of it. I still have nightmares thinking about that expense... the horror!

Then we put in an in-ground sprinkler system and in-bed drip lines. Did that myself. Cuz I am fucking stupid like that.

And built some really sweet built-in cabinets & shelves, so now my office looks like the room where Bruce Wayne kept the Bat-Phone. Still need to build the surround & mantle for the fireplace.

And outfitted my garage... shelves, racks, workbenches. cabinets... all that stuff you gotta do to a new garage.

And carried over two weeks of vacation to this year. And billed an average of about 55 hours a week at work.

Wow... did not think I did that much during my absence.
