to see the "Dallas Brass" perform, DO IT! They came to town and chose selected students from Stillwater and the surrounding towns to perform with them. Zack was one of the ones chosen from his high school, so naturally we went to the show. Aside from getting hit, I haven't had that much fun at a concert in a long time.

They play a mix of Jazz, Classical, Swing, Big Band, Broadway, Hollywood and more. They are all excellent musicians, but the Tuba/Sousaphone player, Nat McIntosh, did things with the Sousaphone that were amazing. He does this thing called multi-phonics where he sings into the sousaphone while playing it at the same time. Friggin awesome. John Philip Sousa must be rolling over in his grave.

The show had the entire audience laughing, singing and clapping along. Their closing number was a medley of 34 different pieces.

These guys are a definite "must see."
