Hell, try perimenopause and STILL having PMS.  At least I've been able to control the hot flashes and most of the time, the mood swings.  Like Jimbo said, "at least with the drugs, it takes one tooth out of the buzz saw".

I see menopause as a great excuse for us to be bitches without anyone holding it against us... ;;D

By the way, I just found out that men in their late 40's to 50's have something called the male menopause - called andropause...so that explains a lot -  ::)

Midlife Crisis or Male Menopause /Andropause?

For year’s men who were experiencing physical and emotional changes assumed they were going through some sort of midlife crisis. Researchers now suggest these men were probably experiencing something quite different, a male version of menopause.

While most men do not want to accept the fact that the very hormone that makes them a man is decreasing the sobering truth is that as many as 25 million American males between the ages of 35 and 55 are experiencing some degree of male menopause or Andropause. Andropause is characterized by decreased testosterone levels associated with the normal aging process.

I should be immune to this I'm Australian. ;;D

Gator,
You do know that you'll qualify for a medal of valor when jayne gets through this don't you?  bad thing is, it can go on for a looooooon time (try 8 years and counting).

I'm sure PL259 would gladly drop me in the middle of the Iraqi's camp during one of my *bad* phases.  Better yet, put me in a tank or an armored humvee and let me get a case of road rage to top off the other sh!t with.
