Title: Unanswered prayers! Post by LadyElaine1 on Feb 27th, 2007, 12:25pm I had someone tell me they were the King of unanswered prayers. I know though my life I have thought I was the Queen of unanswered prayers. I am always praying for something, someone, or even praying to die at times when my health was so bad. We have all been there. Then it dawned on me, no one prayers are unanswered. Yea we are like teen agers we want to hear 'YES " to all our request, hopes and dreams. Sometimes our parents just have to say "NO" "Not Now". Believe it or not. "NO " and "NOT NOW" is a answer. Its just the answer we don't always want to hear. To people here who believe in God. Next time you think God didn't answer, just remember the answer is some times "No". It might take us years to know why, and we may not know till the end of time. Most of my trails I now know why or at least feel I do. Its just really a thought I wanted to share. For people who don't believe, Please don't be offended. Gods a big part of my life and some friends here and I just wanted to share. |

Title: Re: Unanswered prayers! Post by Redd on Feb 27th, 2007, 12:34pm It doesn't always matter by what name we call our God, (or Goddess). A universal truth remains a universal truth. I for one thank you for sharing that fine piece of wisdom and truth. |

Title: Re: Unanswered prayers! Post by Brewcrew on Feb 27th, 2007, 12:39pm I think it was Jesus himself who taught us to pray, "Thy will be done," not "My will be done." It is only arrogance that allows us to pray for things we want, and arrogance is separation from God. Who are we to think we know better than the devine? Your comments are spot on, Elaine. |

Title: Re: Unanswered prayers! Post by ClusterChuck on Feb 27th, 2007, 12:43pm The Lord work in mysterious ways. Many times we will NEVER find out why the answer was NO ... But there are reasons. Just not always known to us ... Then again, there is the other side of that coin ... be careful of what you pray/wish for. When it IS granted, it may have results or consequences you are not prepared to handle. Chuck |

Title: Re: Unanswered prayers! Post by sandie99 on Feb 27th, 2007, 1:05pm Elaine, I believe that what is meant to happen, will happen. I do believe that each and every prayer is answered; and sometimes the reply is, indeed, no. Sanna |
