Limey-bird is poorly again (low calcium/magnesium etc.) and her GP has admitted her into hospital.  She wanted me to let you all know she's OK (well, as much as she can be) but won't be around for a bit.

I would normally add a trite and flippant comment here, but she really is too poorly to respond, so I'll wait until she's a bit better.

  Lee, tell her I am burning the candle at both ends....oops I mean lighting a candle for her too.   I also have a "get out of jail" card from an old Monopoly game she can have if she needs it.

  On 2nd. thought..she just might have met some cute Doctor there the last time and this is her way of getting to see him again and we could be all wrong with sending our get-well vibes.   Carry-on Helen if this is the case.

Heard from the witch Dear Helen this am.  She is feeling poorly and is on IV to raise her [divalent cations].  It will probably be a day or 2 before she starts feeling better.  At least her condition was under treatment much sooner this time so hopefully she will be out of the "joint" sooner this time.

Awww I'm sorry to hear this!!  We were just planning to catch up and chat after I had finished my work 3-day run on Monday night, but then some things came up for me and I hadn't been able to PM her.  I wish she could catch a break already!!!

Lee - do you have her phone number for this time around?  Can you PM it  to me if so?  I won't bombard her with phone calls (last time I only tried to call once!), but I'm going back to my apartment tomorrow where my base call to the UK is free - even though the calls to the hosp are more expensive.  (And for the record, I think that is really crappy!  Sick people need loved ones to be able to call and keep them company/offer support - and yet they charge a boatload to make those phonecalls!  That sucks!!  Then again, prolly better to put it on the well people on the outside, as opposed to my hospital phone bills which were through the roof but didn't cost anyone else around me a dime! heh...)

Get well soon, Helen!!!!  I miss you!!!!

She's not planning to get one of those outrageously expensive hospital phones this time around - I think she's hoping it'll be a shorter stay.

She does have her cell phone with her but I have only been able to leave messages so far - I'll keep you posted when I hear back.
