Title: I need your help(update)....
Post by lionsound on Feb 16th, 2007, 4:49pm
Not sure where to post this so it goes here I guess....

i'm sorry for typos spelling mistakes in this. It's hard for me to look at the screen and think well when I migraine. My head hurts. Not CH right now but the other four kinds i get i've been having a rough time with this past week. One day my muscled just wouldn't go and I was achy and getting zapped in my face. yesterday was my only clear day. I feel like shit and don't know what to do.

the only thing i've changed is the baby's feeding ..I took a big one away.

I was wondering if anyone knows from experience or can look up if there's a correlation between weaning a one year old from breastfeeding and me being sick. Or if weaning can cause more headaches to come back. I am still feeding Zeke twice a day.

I don't think I have mastitis....no fever. I could have what my kids brought home but I don't think so.

gotta go before i puke. :-/
my PM box is full so post here or email me if ya got anything. TY

I don't know about breastfeeding but I know that if I am sick flu or a cold I will get a migraine that can last a full week with it.  I am so sorry to hear you are going through this.  I will pray for you.

I remember feeling cruddy when I weaned my son but I don't have CH so I can't compare.

Headache, fatigue and achy-ness are common side effects of a wean - even a small one like yours.

Hope you feel better soon.

:'( I am sorry Rori...could it be the flux in your hormones after dropping this feeding?  :-/ Wish I knew the answer, sending big hugs and pf wishes you way

Thinking of you

Thank you all so much!!!:)

Pat, you were helpful .... your post got me to ask some other mommy friends of mine, like Eric;), how they felt when they weaned. And a lot said the same as you....which was comforting.

I do agree it's probably hormonal thing, and also a decrease in oxytocin production too that's causing noggin fireworks and feeling icky.

Yesterday was a good day, today not. My hubby is sick in bed, so this morning I had to put on my big girl pants and take care of my family.

I drove home from the grocery store with a bag of frozen peas on my head. ;;D

Your support means the world and even though I hurt, I feel so much better.

Rori, I hope things get better. I haven't posted because my breastfeeding experience only lasted 3 weeks, and it was almost 23 years ago - can't remember much about it.

hugs,
Lizzie

Enjoy the good days and I hope the bad ones are fewer and farther between.

Frozen peas are God's gift to mommies!
