Title: Great Live Music for a Great Cause! Post by Brewcrew on Feb 13th, 2007, 9:55pm Many of you don't frequent the Meetings and Gatherings board, so I'm posting my last-minute reminder here. Let's have a good time as we raise money for 4 Paws For Ability, a non-profit organization that trains Service Dogs for children with Autism. Autism is: at once invisible and yet all encompassing. A world of black and white, of joy and sadness. A world of silence and at times deafening with its screams. It may affect only one family member but it touches all. A world of open and closed windows, of opportunities gained and lost. Autism simply is what it is... Title: Re: This time I'm hittin' the General Board Post by Brewcrew on Feb 14th, 2007, 8:43am I do appreciate the sentiment, all of you. Kendall isn't just some kid with autism. She's our guitarist's daughter, and a real sweetheart of a girl. What I'm shooting for with this post, more than anything, is to have CH'ers in or near the SE Wisconsin area come out and see us. There are some fantastic items up for raffle and silent auction, not the least of which is an original watercolor by our own Patti Keller (pattik) and a stained glass mosaic garden orb by Pat Mitchell (mosaicwench). Also, lots of gift packages and gift certificates - some real bargains can and will be had. As added incentive, for any CH'er that comes to the fund-raiser, I will buy you and your date your first drink. |

I did, but we all know I'm challenged and have no clue how to post it. :-/ Maybe if everyone saw what a beautiful little girl she is - it would raise some more $ for her. Is that a checkbook in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? [smiley=yikes.gif] I talked with Julie, and she posted the "advanced sales with a credit card" question to the 4 Paws bulletin board. She hasn't yet received an answer. Plan on bringing your checkbook - if that changes, I'll let you know. |
