Title: tornadoes hit New Orleans Post by Edna on Feb 13th, 2007, 2:35pm What more?? Early this morning, a tornadoe struck different areas of the city of New Orleans creating devastation yet again. I'm asking for mega vibes for all those affected. It is quite sad to watch the news and see people who were in the process of fixing their home from Katrina to have the remainder of their home destoryed again. People in FEMA trailers have lost that as well. So far, only 1 loss of life that is being reported. My prayers to that family. I'm sending prayers and as many vibes as I can muster to the people affected again. May they all find the strength to trust in God's plan, even though we cannot beging to understand the reasoning. I'm ok here, my area is south of New Orleans, and we spared well. No damage at all here. EDNA |

Title: Re: tornadoes hit New Orleans Post by DonnaHar on Feb 13th, 2007, 3:10pm Just awful news! Thank God you are safe, Edna. The "plan" is to make people lose faith, I think. Let's keep the prayers and vibes strong and frequent. |

Title: Re: tornadoes hit New Orleans Post by Edna on Feb 13th, 2007, 3:59pm Helen, I'm sure Jean's place is quite safe. I've heard of no weather spell near her lake house or home out in Texas. I'm almost certain that Carolyn and Jimbo fared well. They live out in north Louisiana. I haven't heard any news of tornadoes there, but just to be on the safe side............we'll wait for them to check in. Steve, I'm not sure of. He is close to the lake in New Orleans........so let's wait to hear from him. All please check in, you know how we worry. If I hear any news on them, I'll be sure to post. EDNA |

Title: Re: tornadoes hit New Orleans Post by deltadarlin on Feb 13th, 2007, 7:15pm Edna is right. We are most okay. Live quite a bit north of New Orleans area. All we got was rain and a bit of thunder and lightening. All this, right as the Mardi Gras season kicks in. 'darlin |

Title: Re: tornadoes hit New Orleans Post by stevegeebe on Feb 13th, 2007, 7:54pm Okay here gang. What ya going to do? Local "leaders" are tripping over themselves seeking the camera spotlight, patting themselves on their collective backs about all they are doing, while this City dies a slow, certain death. Sorry for the editorial. What a kick in the teeth for those folks. It aint the Big Easy anymore. I add my vibes to yours. Steve G |

Title: Re: tornadoes hit New Orleans Post by Gator on Feb 13th, 2007, 11:27pm Glad to see you checking in, Steve. You too 'darlin. It's hard to imagine so much destruction being heaped on one town in so short a time frame. Kind of like kicking a man when he's down. All my best. Mike |

Title: Re: tornadoes hit New Orleans Post by georgej on Feb 13th, 2007, 11:40pm Thanks for checking in, folks. Terrible thing to hear about. We've been keeping track throughout the day. Too much pain, too much loss. Sincere hopes and sympathies to those affected. I love that city. Some of EJ's relatives still live there. (They're okay too, by the way.) Best, George |

Passed by an area where one tornado touched down. The block looked like a bomb expolded. Check out nola.com and wwltv.com. Steve G |
