Anna Nicole Smith collapsed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

According to hotel officials, emergency responders performed CPR at the scene and a breathing apparatus was inserted in her throat. Anna was immediately transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood just after 2:00 PM EST.

WFOR-TV in Miami reports that Anna was found unresponsive in her hotel room. Local streets were closed off to rush Smith to the hospital, three miles away. Paramedics were seen pumping her chest as she was taken from the hotel.

Anna had been hospitalized for a week last November with pneumonia. Daughter Dannielynn, subject of an ongoing DNA test battle, was born on September 7. Her son Daniel died of a drug overdose on September 10.

It is so sad....she just had the baby girl. You gotta think that she was just in an awful state of mind after her son died and then that guy suing her for paternity testing....and she HAD to be out of her mind marrying Howard Stern.....she's so beautiful...what a sad thing. :(

A tragic end to a tragic life. The way she viewed life and the people around her reminded me of Marilyn Monroe.

She also has a class action lawsuit filed against her and Trimspa too.

It's just sad. I think everyone deserves second chances in their life to open their eyes to what is really important and change.

May have been an overdose of cocaine. Very sad and I hope that she has found peace. What she needed and did not get was a break from the chaos of her life. I volunteer with an organization that rehabilitates homeless veterans and see the miracles of recovery everyday. Perhaps something good will come from her loss. Let us hope so. Phil

Ok ya wanna hear my rendition of the story.... well since I don't trust lawyers anyway...(having dealt with them closely for the past year and a half since the demise and death of both of my parents) I think the lawyer husband did the older son in, they were investigating that he may have been involved in his death. Not every day your 20 year old kid dies in your hospital room. Then her NEW husband made sure she stayed sedated. The ex boy friend is who that baby looks like. He is suing for a paternity test. NOW that she is dead her dna may not be viable to use. You cannot tell me that Howard K Sterns couldn't do anything to stop her from over sedating herself. I am so sure she died of an overdose. Sure was funny that he was always by her side when she was slurring her words beyond anything I have ever seen. Of course he wants that baby to be his now... she is one rich baby... Now, Zsa Zsa Gabors husband is saying he might be the father too.
yep... that poor rich baby... its a sad story and it unfolded right on TV in front of our very eyes and no one ever did anything to stop it. It kinda makes you feel guilty. ree

That was my first reaction.
It appears there is a risk Stern will bring in some random baby for the paternity test, thus the need for her DNA.

By HIS I believe you mean Stern. Nope. Stern is not a part of the DNA testing.

The paternity test will simply check whether the father is Birkhead. So the baby and Birkhead will have DNA drawn. And now Anna as well, to verify that it was her baby that was presented.

Randomly fishing for the father, to include Stern, is not part of paternity testing. From a legal perspective, it is hard enough getting DNA from the baby for this shit. A 'and test him, and him, and him' type suit would be laughed at.

Vicki's (aka Anna) mother (Vergie), certainly did not approve of alot of things her daughter did. All the way back to high school when her daughter was expelled from school for fighting.

I have 8 beautiful, wonderful grandkids...6 boys, 2 girls. I would literally walk through fire for any single one of them.

God blesses us when he gives us our children..but it's a double dip blessing when he gives us a grandchild.

I be watching ET. I know one thing the lady didn't like her Mom. I also know the lady loved her son. I think just knowing
those two things. She should be placed beside her son.

If I was her mother and loved her and saw ET. and knew how she felt I wouldn't fight for her body. I would figure her wishes would be to be with her son. Plus I would want her to be able to rest in death.

I think they are all out for money even grandma! I would think the only way the court can rule on who gets the baby is to have all the men tested and give the child to the real father. Sad but I can't see any other way to do it.
I think who ever gets the child should be watched and close.

I'm not so sure that the kid or whoever is daddy will get anything. She was supposed to go to court next month, as far as I know she might have got nothing. I'm also wondering why we are not hearing about an investigation regarding her death.

I don't know Ms. Elaine, I think they need to take a good look at Howard K. Stern a bit more. I know it was mentioned here that there is an investigation, but I have heard it brought up here more than in the media. At this point I'm rooting for Zsa Zsa's husband more than Stern!

I have a question however; which is, since there can not be taxation with out representation, just who is it that is dead and so can represent the dead?

Just so you know; the "death tax" is and used to be called the "inheritance tax." Neocon billionaires call it death tax now to garner support from ordinary blokes so they will sign on to repeal this tax which is one of the few that hits the right people.
