Title: Just have to share this Post by Linda_Howell on Feb 1st, 2007, 1:36pm Early this morning I got an e-mail from the artist formally known as Brewcrew saying "You will be getting a fed-ex pkg. this morning. It will require your immediate attention. A 1/2 hr. later it came and before I tell you what it was I have to give you a short story. After the convention in Milwaukee, Brewcrew took Jim and I to the airport and we had some time to kill before our flight so he took us to a place for lunch called Culvers which I had never heard of before and He said I HAD to have their Wisconsin frozen custard. It was like no taste I had ever had before and I loved it. Can't get it here in California. So guess what was in the pkg. in dry ice of course. 2 quarts of it. and a very nice Birthday card. I could have privately e-mailed my thanks to Bill but I wanted everyone here to know what a great guy this man is. I am verklempt Bill. Thank you from the bottom of my taste buds. Linda who is in custard heaven. |

Title: Re: Just have to share this Post by Karla on Feb 1st, 2007, 2:24pm You definetlly have good taste. I have 4 culvers within a couiple miles of my home. I love their frozen custard. Exspecially Chocolate Volcano!!! As you can imagine it is filled and mixed with all sorts of chocalate candies and is very pleasing to my palate. They are definitly growing and expanding. The first culvers started in Sauk City WI which is a small town north of Madison by about 20 min. They now have culvers across the midwest into texas and is moving west and east. Stay tuned for a town near you. |

Title: Re: Just have to share this Post by Wilbur on Feb 1st, 2007, 2:31pm Believe me, Linda, the pleasure was all ours. Just to know that it made your day is all I needed to hear. Besides the vanilla, the other flavor is called Caramel Apple Pie. It was the flavor of the day at the Culver's down the street. Was it still frozen when it arrived? Now you and Jim save your nickels and dimes and open a franchise out there - be the first Culver's in northern California! Bill |

Now if you will kindly send me that power-ball ticket Jimmers was talking about I'll get right on starting that franchise here. Linda |

Title: Re: Just have to share this Post by Mosaicwench on Feb 1st, 2007, 3:02pm Is it any wonder why I married him 25 years ago?? He's the BEST! So glad you liked your custard, Linda. We take Culvers for granted here just because there are so many of them. But he told me about how much you loved your one and only taste and then we started to plan and scheme about how to get you some more. Enjoy your little corner of heaven! |
