Title: Re: A 60's Child ... Post by cynjeep89 on Jan 28th, 2007, 11:36am Still have a lava lamp...some things are just too hard to let go of! Should have kept the '65 Fastback Mustang...was such a cool car. From the 60s, I remember meeting my neighborhood friends in the mornings and spending the whole day riding our bikes, playing kick the can, dodge ball, softball, whiffle ball, climbing trees, swimming in the river, rope swings, hop scotch, jacks, catching lightning bugs on those warm summer nights, Pop Rocks, Sweet Tarts, Pixie Sticks, 10 kids piling into my friend's father's station wagon to go for ice cream, playing Beatles 45s over and over and over again until Mom screamed to "shut that darned record player off"...gee, I miss those days. Thanks for stirring up some wonderful memories, Chuck [smiley=laugh.gif] |

Title: Re: A 60's Child ... Post by tanner on Jan 28th, 2007, 12:17pm Thanks for that Chuck! Today is my wife's 54th birthday which we have been celebrating for the last couple of days and this morning it hits her that " god I am old". Much like a thread I started a week or so ago this is the kind of stuff that makes us both think that in someways being older is not all bad. Favorite radio station WLS in Chicago ;;D....tim |

Yep. That was "our" radio station too, when I lived in northern Indiana, growing up. "Double-u-EL-ess". Can still hear the little radio jingle.... Best, George |
