Title: Ice Storm Pics Post by Rock_Lobster on Jan 27th, 2007, 8:33pm Pics from the ice storm we had two weeks ago. Lost about 5 major limbs off my trees. One nice one bounced off the house... just some cracked J-molding to show for it, so that is all good. The golf course lost about 15 trees. Our power was only out for about 3 hours once or twice, but on the other side of the country club they were without juice for a few days. http://www.geocities.com/amish_elite/2007_01130143.JPG http://www.geocities.com/amish_elite/2007_01130145.JPG http://www.geocities.com/amish_elite/2007_01150003.JPG http://www.geocities.com/amish_elite/2007_01150004.JPG http://www.geocities.com/amish_elite/2007_01150010.JPG |

Title: Re: Ice Storm Pics Post by Grandma_Sweet_Boy on Jan 28th, 2007, 9:51am It's too bad that something that looks so pretty can cause so much damage. We were down in the Niagara region last week and the view was beautiful - but the damage to the trees is sad. |

Title: Re: Ice Storm Pics Post by artonio7 on Jan 28th, 2007, 10:24am Rock, These are some great pics. Ice storms are NASTY causing all sorts of hell but they sure are beautiful. The pic with the close-up of the grass is fantastic. Thanks for sharing them. Nice landscaping, by the way, I'll bet it looks great in the spring. with warm regards, Tony |

Well, thank your lucky f'n stars, Timmy. My dermatologist has me on Dapsone right now for my chronic recurrent hidradenitis suppurativa (look it up - some folks might be eating right now ;;D ). It's primary use is to treat leprosy. Lucky me. I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread about Rock Lobster's ice storm pics (Sorry, Rock - didn't mean to hijack your thread.) |
