Title: My Little Buddy.................... Post by chewy on Jan 24th, 2007, 6:47am From Gage's Mom: Good news, Gage's bone marrow is "empty"! They were able to count 200 cells and none of them have the translocation! Thank you Lord and Thank You everyone for your prayers! This biopsy does not indicate Gage's remission status ... that will have to wait until the next biopsy scheduled for Feb. 5th in Seattle. So, the plan is to head to Seattle on Jan. 31st, the "work up" period (tests) will start Feb. 1st, the transplant date is Feb. 17th. The doctors think there is a good chance Gage's ANC will reach 200 this week and we will be able to go home!!! ********************* The white cell count is 0.5 today!!! This is indicating a definate upward trend! How far do we have to go? The docs look at the ANC which is the Neutrophil count. Gage's ANC is 120 today and docs want to see 200 before they consider sending patients home. The fact that Gage has Neutrophils is good news! I know all of those prayers out there are helping! Our day is just starting so not much to report. Gage is watching cartoons and we are going through the daily battle of food intake. His weight goes up and down, but we need to maintain it to keep him strong for transplant. I will plug in the biopsy update later today.
