Pardon My Excitement but...

I've only been waiting YEARS to be able to record again. I finally got a machine capable of the program, but the soundcard is a tuna can wired by a.m. radio!!! I've had people comment satellite11 that my voice sounds too transistorized. I was so excited when I got my new machine... I didn't realize that one small little detail would hold me up - the soundcard.

My brother found a killer soundcard that works with my machine - and hooked me up tonight. I tested it out and my voice... wow!!! I can even use the mic input!!! It sounds spec-tac-u-lar!!!

So, I also get to begin laying down my first recorded tracks in a looooooooooooong time solo!!! I am excited, and ready to begin my concept album. As Mozart might say, "It's already finished...up in my noodle."

On the downside... the dvd burner I got is defective. It is an older model NEC before Sony bought them out, and it only has a 1 year warranty. It was manufactured feb. 2006 - so I have less than a week to get it in the mail to get a replacement. I just hope it isn't one of the shitty new Sony models. Ripped it out tonight and stuck in my old cd burner so I can at least clean off my drive to reserve room for new tracks.

Bee Tee Dubbayoo - the new album is a concept about CH called "The Loss of God" and you have no idea how excited I am to finally be able to record again. I have been scared I may never get to do another disc, since I know my time is limited on guitar due to arthritis and carpal tunnel. My speed has decreased quite a bit over the years, and my hand cramps BAD when I make certain chords. But trust me, they will get a KILLER workout when I start laying down guitar tracks, because I am a picky bastage and if I am not happy with a guitar track, I will do it over and over 200 times until I get it right.

So, in short - my voice will sound MUCH better on Soylent Radio - and I am back in the music - cause I got the music in me!
Tomorrow I will be playing Zakk Wylde's audition tape for Ozzy - the NEW Megadeth single, some Mitch Hedberg - along with alot of other surprises, as usual. I also plan to rip on Paula Abdul for awhile. I recorded that vid to audio, and you don't even need to see her - you can HEAR she's wasted.

My new official term for being wasted, shitfaced or plastered? ABDULLED! [smiley=laugh.gif]

Great news Carl! Looks like things are beginning to turn around for. I am glad. P.S. When you get a few discs burned, I want a copy.
