Title: Another poem I wrote..enjoy.. :) Post by miker6565 on Jan 18th, 2007, 2:01am Firefly………… Sitting in this field of dreams Where nothing is as it seems Away from the city lights And the unearthly sights Forgetting the stains left on me Your golden glow is all that I see The puzzle piece has fallen into place While the gambler waits for that ungettable ace People wasting their minds Looking for the golden finds Can we undo the past? Can we create a world that will last? Or is it all carved in stone Buried deep in the bone……. Will the flowers still bloom? Is it really safe to assume? Firefly, you amaze me A built in light for you to see…….. Has the darkness clouded mine? Is there still a way to change the design? Maybe the light isn’t always in us Maybe the light, Is us…… We are light, to shine for each other’s way If only the Firefly had words to say…….. Maybe what’s inside us shines outward to be To shine the light or not let it be…… The light inside glows before us so Helping ourselves and others too……. When I’m in the dark you shine the light for me When you’re in the dark, I shine, for you to see….. Chasing away the shadows dark hand Lighting our way through this darkened land…….. So the question is….Is my lamp lit? Is it lit? Or do I quietly sit? Shine your light bright, not just to help you see But, just maybe, to help others, to truly be…… By Mike R Fishero |
