We got back on Monday morning. I had an amazing time...even though I'm not 21 yet :(

I think it is safe to say that I now have a new career path in mind! Driving the race car was the most amazing thing I have ever done! I will post pictures as soon as I can...I'm not as technically savvy as some people on the board. My fastest speed was 138 mph... and I wanted and was willing to go faster! I wasn't the fastest person, but I was the faster female, I do believe, by almost 10 mph. And I wasn't far behind some of the men. I think the fastest I heard was 142 mph...so not too much faster than me.

Though a little nervous before getting into the car, as soon as I was sitting in the seat (which was surprisingly comfortable) I relaxed and felt like I was in the right place.

So, now I just have to find a job that will

a) pay me enough that I can start racing

and

b) be lenient enough to give me time to do the racing

PS: I think I'm going to start saving up for another one. They said their fastest track was Atlanta...maybe that one next? Or perhaps Charlotte. Wherever it is, I can't wait to get in a car again....and go even faster, after all, I would love to know where my body's speed limitations are! ::)

I know the feeling Teresa. Our cruisers would top out at 148mph. Our police academy goes to Indianapolis Motor Speedway and learns high speed pursuit, evasion etc etc. I love the speed. And I loved the track.

Jimi - I drove a '76 Malibu Classic Stationwagon 110 mph down a county highway when I was 16. Does that count for knowing the feeling?

Fastest I have ever been in a car is 140 on I 80 through Nebraska, and back in those days the radios were the only thing the law had that was faster.

Made for very quick trips from CO. Springs to Chicago and back! Still rubbing wood that I never got busted ;;D

Oh very cool! Teresa, that is wonderful that you've found something you love!!

I love to drive fast. Fastest I've gone is I think around 100mph. My speedometer only goes to like 85, but I think I've hit around 100! And I live in Pennsylvania, where the state troopers are vicious! (Hi Jimi!) ;)

Teresa, I am soooooo jealous! You get 2 thumbs up for what you did. I have a chance to do the same in CASCAR on a 1/8 mile track but won't top 80 mph.
You are at a good age for doing this, quick reflexes!
