Well - my head is kicking my arse.... It's not just the clusters - also the damn migraine. (I know that's a taboo word, but hell....the fact that it's been at its worst for 7 days now is really the reason I'm going in!) Been gettin hit around 4-6 times a day and I can't seem to knock back my migraine no matter what I try. Ordinarily, amerge and frova work great for me. They're like sugar water at the moment. Nothing is helping....

So I called the headache center today and at first I was just going to go in tomorrow and get nerve block injections again, but then I talked it over with my parents and they thought the outpatient IV infusions might be worth a try again. It's DHE and other good stuff they use in their cocktail...

I have to be into the headache center by 7:45am and then will be spending about 8 hours in the infusion center. Hopefully they'll let me keep my IV in overnight as I go home so that way they don't have to hunt for a next one on Friday since I have no veins. This will be a 2 day thing, but my dad will pick me up at the end of each day and bring me back to my apartment. I'm taking the train into the city in the morning...

Wish me luck... I'm seriously gonna need it....

Its not that the word is taboo....its that it should not be the main subject. Lots of folks here have both and talking about both will help folks that have both HA's.

Hope it works Carrie. DHE has been my last resort for years. IV it really works better. But it usually takes several injections to kill the beast. Hope you're PF soon.

Thanks very much all - I'm really hoping this helps! I told my mom that even if it doesn't last for a long time, it would be nice to at least have less pain on Christmas day......!

Goodluck...... hopefully you can atleast get rid of one of the ha's (For me a migraine triggers my clusters to hit outta control) HUGZZZZZ and hoping for a pf xmas for ya
