Title: What ARE you looking forward to... Post by kimmiedawn81 on Dec 14th, 2006, 9:39am During the holidays? I'm looking forward to showing off my engagement ring to my parents and family. I'm also looking forward to playing card games, etc. with my family on Christmas day after we eat lunch. I'm also looking forward to Christmas Eve at my future in-law's house. We will be exchanging presents and watching a Christmas Story, listening to Christmas songs, etc. I can't wait!! Just wanted to start a thread that was stuff you're looking forward to, instead of dreading. |

Title: Re: What ARE you looking forward to... Post by echo on Dec 14th, 2006, 10:46am Taking the week of Christmas --- New Years as vacation days. Not having to deal with business, customer and staff issues. If it would snow that would be simply fantastic. This Minnesota boy loves a white Christmas. |

Title: Re: What ARE you looking forward to... Post by Cathi04 on Dec 14th, 2006, 10:51am Umm, Zwibby.......KImmie meant about CHRISTMAS! Get with the program, wouldja??? I'm finally learning to savor the holidays with my whole family. Several false alarms have caused me to realize our numbers have dwindled and continue to do so. I'm also looking forward to bending tradition this year. We adults in the family have decided we truly need nothing this year, and we are not going to exchange gifts. We will get together, enjoy each other immensely, enjoy my grandson opening HIS presents, but, on Christmas Eve, we are headed out to the Oregon Food Bank with a check. Plenty of people need FOOD far more than we need gifts. I'm looking forward to GOOD Christmas music....not that reindeer song...........and, since I haven't even begun yet, I'm looking forward to getting my Christmas cards out......... ummmm...so I think I gotta go now!!!!!!!! Got ya beat Woobs.........I LIVE with my Inlaws!!! lol Actually love em all and get along with them much better than most daughters in laws do with the MIL... I just posted on the the other thread what I look forward to the most. Watching my kids eyes light up when they see that santa actually FINALLY brought them everything they asked for (this is the first year ever sam and I have been able to really get the kids anything on their wish list....) It was the best feeling in the world shopping this year, we had a blast......... Watching their joy on Xmas morning will make so many things seem so trivial...seeing that wonderful joy on a childs face......completely priceless. My kids have alway sbeen happy with the few toys and things they have recieved on xmas no matter how much or how little they have gotten in the past they are still happy but this year....oh this year will be incredible! |

I like Christmas day too. We had so much fun and nothing bad anywhere in the world was allowed. Dad wouldn't put up with. Charlie |
