Title: Send a card to the troops... Post by catlind on Dec 14th, 2006, 9:17am Got this email this morning from Clark; When he was deployed after 9/11, some of the most precious things he received were cards (post cards at the time) from kids around the country. Cat Some of you may have already done this--but it's a pretty neat idea. If you can find a minute to do this, it is a nice gesture and good Activity for your kids: Something very cool that Xerox is doing. Go to this web site: www.letssaythanks.com Pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets the card, but it will go to some member of the armed services. It would be great if we could get everyone we know to send one! Please send a card. It's FREE and it only takes thirty seconds (I just did it) Wouldn't it be wonderful if our armed services people received a bunch of these? Whether you're for or against the war, our men and women over there need to know we're behind THEM! |

Got a chuckle looking at the one with the Statue of Liberty and apple pie.[smiley=laugh.gif] Had to go with the "Be Strong. Be Fast like an American muscle car" card. Everyone, please go to this site and send a postcard. You will love the them....they are drawn by children and they are adorable. |
