So since the kids are here Xmas Eve, I too do not look forward to spending the next day alone. I'll be alone for Yule celebration too. Oh well...I'll get over it, I always do. |

Apparantlly the veganites only know 3 XMass carols cause they play the same three over and over and over. I'm on a plane Saturday. I doubt any of them have studied the Berl Ives songbook for this year either. |

Just my lovely bride and I will be hanging out at the house. Few drinks, big fire in the fire place, throw out a blanket and let her have her way with me. ;;D It will be weird without any of the kids. I know our Marine Recruit will be on our mind wondering how the Corp celebrates Christmas. If it is still like when I was in it's not much, keep them busy to keep their minds off home. |

It has plums and mulled wine and it is not dry. ;) Anyway, what I'm not looking forward... that used to be the dessert, but since I convinced mum that I can make plum quark instead of the traditional plum thing, even that it ok. What I don't like is not having a certain tradition for New Year's Eve. I'd like to have one. This year I'll be meeting a group of my boyfriend's friends for the first time, so it'll be bit stressful, I think... Sanna |

Also not looking forward to my grandma busting on me for "not having any friends and having to spend so much time at home" and also because my 2 best friends are married, and I don't even have a boyfriend. At one point, she even asked me if my mom was okay and said she worried about her because she knows my mom "is worried about you ending up alone." Heh....... My mom hadn't said one word about that to her and does not worry about it! My grandma always tries to throw these things into conversation in some tactful way, but it always ends up being incredibly hurtful. Now I just don't really reply to her, then later tell my mom what she said and laugh it off! I will also check in on here as much as I can on Christmas! For those who are alone that day, you have a friend in me! Don't know that I'll be able to really talk on the phone since I'll be at my parents' house, but I'll be online I'm sure! Hugz, Carrie :) |
